Kiefer Sutherland's divorce final after 9 years
After nine years of separation, four years following the filing, a hit TV show, a couple DUIs and a stint in jail, Kiefer Sutherland's divorce from his wife Elizabeth is finally, uh, final.
People says the 41-year-old actor just now heard from a Superior Court judge, who got around to saying the divorce was done. Kiefer filed back in 2004, citing irreconcilable differences. They had been married for eight years at that point.
Elizabeth (nee Winn) will drop the Sutherland from her name. They shared her two children from a previous marriage. He also has his stepdaughter from his previous marriage to Camelia Kath, and his and Kath's daughter together, Sarah Jude. And who says the American family unit is disintegrating?
