Miley Cyrus skips out on Disney red carpet

Miley Cyrus (her real, full, legal name nowadays) may have been in Orlando for the 2008 Disney Channel Games this weekend, but she skipped out on the red carpet "on the advice of her management team," People says.

Miley was supposed to head to a media event on Friday to start off the fun, but she decided not to go. A source told People, "Miley was invited but she is focusing on her rehearsals and preparing for her show tomorrow. She's happy to be here."

Of course, we're more likely to believe that she's been in the spotlight a little too much this past week.

"She was invited to the media party but understandably, is not attending on the advice of her management team," another source adds. "She is just 15 and worried and upset over everything related to the photos of her. Her parents are upset and her entire family is affected, too."

It didn't keep her from meeting Sen. John Edwards and his family on Thursday, though, including his two youngest children, Emma Claire and Jack, who are big fans.

"She chatted with them about all the rides and attractions they saw at Walt Disney World," a source close says. "It was a sweet moment." Yes, and good press, to boot.
