Sharon Stone banned from Shanghai film fest

Tbdsharonstone060508 Sharon Stone continues to reap the karma of making idiotic statements about China's recent earthquake, this time being banned from the upcoming Shanghai Film Festival.

The AP reports the 50-year-old actress, who was on the festival's red carpet last year, won't be welcome back, according to festival spokeswoman Tang Bing. The recent comments were suprising, Tang said, since Stone had gone to such great lengths to impress festival organizers last year.

"She showed her affinity for the Chinese people and her affinity for Shanghai. She didn't say any bad things," Tang said. But she did this year, so from June 14-22, she'd better stay away.

Stupid comments above. So low I-Q, so insensitive to human life. Please, if you don't understand a thing and can say a few good words, keep your mouth shut. SS, you deserves the Karma, it serves you right.

Sharon's only mistake was in apologizing for saying what is true and what many people were already thinking. Who gives a dang if she's banned from the Shanghai Film Fest? Boo hoo, no big loss there. All Americans should be boycotting any involvement with China until they immediately stop their violence against innocent Tibetans and set things right once and for all. I am not a fan of Ms. Stone's work, but I'm becoming a big fan of her honest outspokenness. It is tragic that so many innocent Chinese people had to suffer for the karmic backlash China has bought upon themselves, however, how many innocent Tibetans have suffered at the hands of the Chinese military simply because they wish to steal hope and spiritual growth from people thus making them easier to dominate? I've heard several media "celebrities" admonishing SS for her comment and I'm stumped by their backward outrage. Guess what folks, this is what karma is, it is getting back exactly what you put out into the world. I wonder if those who balk at Ms. Stone's statements are simply fearful that their own wrong doing will soon catch up with them, as it has with China, as it does with us all, (including the author of this soapbox tirade :)

I concur with S. Stone. Really bad karma for China. Who knows, maybe there are more atrocities being committed that deserve such natural returns. Karma is impartial and respects no one. That is the law. Break it, pay for it.

Congrats, Sharon, I wish the whole country of China was offended by me. Bad Karma or the Wrath of God? Not just for the mal-treatment of Tibetans, but also for sending us poison toothpaste, cat food, and kids' toys. And their destruction of the environment.
