Amy Winehouse's label requiring 'house arrest'

Tbdamywinehouse070408A quick check-in on Amy Winehouse (whose descent into madness isn't funny anymore) finds that the singer's record label has put her on around-the-clock watch to keep an eye on her after she confessed to taking drugs while she was in rehab for heroin. Oh, we know, we were surprised too.

"I've never been to rehab -- I mean, done it properly. I'm young, and I'm in love, and I get my nuts off sometimes. But it's never been like, 'Amy, get your life together,'" she said. "To be honest, my husband's away, I'm bored, I'm young. I felt like there was nothing to live for. It's just been a low ebb."

The last couple of weeks have been kind of crazy for Ames, with her blowing off much of her responsibilities at a benefit for Nelson Mandela and tussling with fans at the Glastonbury music festival, prompting action from her bosses.

"Effectively, Amy's been put under house arrest. She is being monitored by 24/7 surveillance to make sure she's behaving herself and keeping out of harm's way," a source told the U.K's ever-credible Mirror. "There is also a security guard stationed outside her house around the clock to vet any undesirables. From now on there'll be no more waifs and strays -- or fans -- coming into her place, wreaking havoc."
