Christie Brinkley, Peter Cook both need therapy
A court-appointed psychiatrist testified in the divorce trial of Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook on Tuesday, telling the court that the model should get custody of her two youngest children, but both husband and wife really could use some therapy. And he gets to called an expert witness for this?
Dr. Stephen Herman told attorney Theresa Mari that Brinkley needs "an outlet for her anger and feeling of betrayal" and "needs to start working on deeper issues" -- like "her choice of male figures," the AP reports. What? just because she's been married four times?
"I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of psychotherapy. I believe there are other ways to deal with this," Brinkley testified later. But she added that she "would do whatever it takes to convince the court" to grant her custody, even if it means going to therapy.
Cook, meanwhile, was described as a "narcissist" who "needs constant reassurance that he is a terrific guy," Herman said in a psych report. It doesn't look like he's getting it from his 18-year-old lover, Diana Bianchi, who was the cause of all this.

So Cook had an affair/like it's not the end of the world - but Brinkley is more the egomaniac in this situation - internet porn? well he's a man - where is the harm - but this very public trial Brinkley insisted upon has her being a martyr/wronged woman looking for public sympathy
Get over it Brinkley - 3 other marriages gone-what did you do wrong in them

Both should get help/therapy... Why not? So many public figures think deviant sex outside the marriage is the answer and they are above the law. Andrew Fisher president of Cox Television was accused of having a sadomasochistic sex affair at the Mayflower Hotel in D.C. and the Waldorf Hotel in NYC in 2003. In divorce documents filed in Superior Court Fulton County, Georgia (CA 2006CV124068) by Robin Fisher's attorneys, evidence was presented of communications between Andy Fisher and Deborah Rich, then press secretary for Senator Lincoln Chafee , relating to an ongoing deviant sexual liaison over many months in 2003.
Evidence of the affair came out in the deposition of Ms. Riche's ex-husband, Lesley Rich, who presented computer files documenting Mr. Fisher's sadomasochistic behavior and perverse sexual additctions.
