Katherine Heigl is still on 'Grey's Anatomy'
Despite Us magazine just now jumping on The Juice* bandwagon and reporting Katherine Heigl's Dr. Izzie Stevens is going to die of a brain tumor next season, she's not going anywhere. ABC Entertainment President Stephen McPherson says the Grey's Anatomy actress won't be punished for mouthing off about not having quality material, the AP reports.
"She's absolutely staying with the show. There's an unbelievable story line for her this year, which is really central to everything that's going to go on this season," he told a meeting of the Television Critics Association.
As you'll recall, Katie said she didn't want to be considered for an Emmy because she hadn't been "given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination." We're sure that made creator Shonda Rhimes real happy, but still, no toe tags for Izzie.
"It's unfortunate when there's any kind of turmoil on a show... I think it's a beautifully written, beautifully acted, beautifully produced show," McPherson said, adding that all those involved with it deserve "an enormous amount of credit. I never like to see when any of them are in any way taken lightly."
It's a show about surgical interns who apparently have time to sleep around, marry their bosses and get drunk every night. What's to take lightly?

Hmm, since when did somebody saying that they didnt think they deserved a nomination or reward for something become so bad? Personally, i find it refreshing to see someone that is more worried about providing quality then just trying to add more to their mantle. She is beautiful, modest, and unfortunatly far out of my reach.
