Britney Spears won't be at this year's VMAs
Give up your dreams of Britney Spears repeating on the MTV Video Music Awards, because it's absolutely untrue, the New York Daily News reports. Manager Larry Rudolph said Monday that there's no chance she would be on the Sept. 7 show.
"She did the promo for them, but there never were any plans for her to appear on the show," a spokesman for Rudolph said. The flack also said that rumors fueled by a hair stylist telling E! News that he might be doing Brit's hair for the show are just so much hogwash.
For now we'll have to be satisfied with her nominations for Piece of Me and those annoying promos with Russell Brand -- and, of course, last year's awesome performance (above). Hey, Brit has plenty of time to reclaim her lost limelight, right?
