Brooke Hogan talks about voting, hypocrisy
We're moving into a third straight day of chastising Brooke Hogan's MySpace exploits, because she had the gall to call out gossip blogs for being mean and nasty (it's like giving a junkie a fresh needle, BB). While Hulk and Linda are in divorce court, we're going to rip on her latest diatribe, which defends her comments that she doesn't vote by saying she's not smart enough to do it.
"Only 54 percent of eligible american voters cast their ballots!!!!!! Half of them are only voting cause its 'cool' to vote for so and so...they aren't even up to date on information," she writes. "I'M personally not up to date on the facts, so I don't wanna make a stupid choice for our country. I WANT to vote but only when I know exactly whats going on. More ppl should think like that."
And while that sounds almost, sorta normal in a bizarro way, her next comments about the press are just plain stupid, and we're not just being prideful.
"they really are stupid and report false news for the mean green. I feel bad for YOU guys. They are teaching our young generation how to be catty , obtain false ways of thinking and wrong ways of treating people...not to mention giving them horrible self image to look up to and horrible life choices that they are being taught to make led by an example from IDIOTS. ... To teach these kids to live vicariously through other people is ridiculous," she says, which would be great if she didn't hang her shingle on whoring out her dysfunctional life on VH1 for years now.
And the best part is her 12-step program for being a better you, which we'll republish here, sans mindless gabbing afterward:
Love.
Trust
Never stick with a cheater.
Work Work Work.
Never gossip, never feel negatively toward ANYONE.
Speak. Whatever you think, whatever you feel.
Be honest.
Live. Live like its your last day on earth- as corny as it sounds. LIVE.
Pray.
Turn OFF the TV!!!! (This one is particularly amazing, since she's got a new show.)
Eat....everything.
......then do a bad ass workout.
Don't you feel so much smarter now?

YOU GO DAVE!!!

Laughing all the way to the bank? Can someone please remind me how well her debut album did? Go ahead, I'll wait.
She's doing all these stupid blogs because THAT is the only way she will get any attention. She will never be praised for her singing so she has to resort to this. While it's really sad and pathetic, it's also hard to stop watching her ruin herself...

Brooke, you go girl! Keep 'em guessing while you're laughing all the way to the bank! Who's smarter now!

Actually Josh as far as her opinions on voting, I agree with her. Do you want someone who has no idea what is going on making a decision for you? I would hope not. But you need something to write about. I looked up a bit of your history and all you seem to to is write about is all of these silly little girls who are on TMZ or have reality shows. Show's something about you. Not exactly worried about the upcoming Bucs season or how the rays are doing this year are ya. But I bet you cant get enough of Dancing With The Stars

She's right though. Stupid people would do us all a favor if they didn't vote.

When she realizes that her pop music career is going nowhere, she can try punk rock because that is the perfect look.
Posted by: jimmy | August 14, 2008 at 07:12 PM
Could it be that Brooke is dumb as fox? Look at the pub. she is getting for what can be viewed as obviously ignorant statements. Could she be working the media?

An Editorial note:
Tommorow, Brooke will discuss the conflict between Russia and Georgia and whether or not Russia will cross the border into Florida.

Who is worse, Brooke for constantly posting stupid things or the people that go to her Myspace 24/7 in hopes that she posted something they can bring to the publics attention? I think she is doing this on purpose.
Posted by: Lenore | August 14, 2008 at 10:57 AM
Now she really does look like the trailer queen she really is.

Let's go back to elementary school thinking for a moment...She's like the annoying kid in class, if you ignore her, she'll likely go away.
Posted by: Gee | August 14, 2008 at 07:53 AM
In the Newspaper bus., she is the gift that keeps on giving. Here's an idea, give her a daily column. It could be called something like "From The Mind of a Genious" or "I Was Just Thinking" (and did'nt hert myself). Maybe
"All The World Needs is a Good Makeover". Any of these will work. NO WAIT I'VE GOT IT. "The World Solved With Hilton and Hogan."
I had better get royalties for that one!!!

God bless you child. This is evidence that god looks out for those who can't take care of themselves because if she had to exist in the real world like everyone else, it would be disasterous.

Actually I agree with her 100% about the voting. I don't completely know where she is coming from with the comment about the press, it appears you only put a portion of the quote in there so maybe something is being left out or I am just completely not understanding where she is going with her statement. Overall she makes some good points, the people who are posting that it is funny or stupid, I don't really see it...and I am pretty critical. Please be specific and point out the funny line or the stupid line.

I am not voting, why would I vote for 2 or the worse candidates in U.S. History? She has a point about voting, and the media.
Posted by: The champ | August 13, 2008 at 04:33 PM
While I do not see Ms. Hogan as any type of role model, she is far more honest then most people are with themselves.
Americans as an all too general rule are irresponsible and uninformed. We complain about government yet we will not vote for someone that tells us the truth and then wonder why we are lied to. It is by far the exception that votes from a knowledgable position.
In addition, way too many in the media who claim to be bringing us news are only advancing their own agenda with little conscience for the fact bending it takes to do so.
I totally agree that Ms. Hogan is not the brightest bulb in the bag, but at least she is telling the truth as Best Brooke Knows it.

It's a wonder she can breathe on her own (she can do that, can't she?)

It's pretty sad when Dog the Bounty Hunter's family has more class than the Hogans. Why, oh, why can't stupidity be painful :-)
Posted by: Mary | August 13, 2008 at 02:53 PM
ROFLMAO. In times like these, when unemployment is on the rise, gas prices are sky rocketing, and this country is going to hell in a handbasket, we can always count on the Hogan family to make us laugh.
Posted by: Terri | August 13, 2008 at 02:52 PM
The Hogan Family are a good example of how not to behave, if and when you become famous and wealthy.
Posted by: Steve | August 13, 2008 at 02:49 PM
We are all that much dumber now that we have read this. Actually, the only reason I still read about the Hogans, is because they are funnier then the comics in the newspaper.
