Ellen DeGeneres, Portia de Rossi get married

In a wedding ceremony likely only to be outdone by George Takei and Brad Altman, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi got hitched on Saturday. Well, if we mean by "outdone" that it will have more people attending, we're probably right.

Ellendegenersportiaderossi "Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi were married tonight in an intimate ceremony at their home in Los Angeles," their spokesperson told People.

How intimate? Only 19 guests were in attendance -- including Ellen's mother Betty and de Rossi's mother Margaret Rogers (all the way from Down Under, People says). Ellen, 50, and de Rossi, 35, both wore Zac Posen duds and exchanged Neil Lane rings to go with their handwritten vows, the mag says.

Now we just need to wait for Sept. 14 to see how George and Brad one-up them. Maybe they'll do something really exciting, like have a buffet!

Matt,
Get some business and mind it. Judge your own life and actions. It will give you something to do.

Amy--Lots of straight marriages are an insult to the instution of marriage. And no, you don't have to be a redneck to be a self-righteous bigot.
I think if gay people shouldn't have the same rights and privileges, then we shouldn't make them pay taxes either.

s

Matt- "He's already had written"? Maybe you should focus more on your grammar than judging other people!

Calm Down Dwayne! This is supposed to be a happy occasion. My sincere Congratulations to Ellen and Portia. I love and admire you both. Wishing you many years of happiness.

Matt

No need to write anything nasty from a Bible thumper; God doesn't recognize this union as marriage anyway. He's already had written everything that is necessary!!!

Calm Down Dwayne! This is supposed to be a happy occasion. My sincere Congratulations to Ellen and Portia. I love and admire you both. Wishing you many years of happiness.

amy

really... I like Ellen... her show is great. But, do you have to be a red-neck to believe that gay marriage is an insult to the institution of marriage? You seem a little "self-righteous" yourself, to me, Dwayne.

Dwayne

Congratulations to the happy couple.

Now, let's see how long it takes for the first bible-thumbing, self-righteous, Leviticius-quoting redneck to post something nasty here.
