Nicole Richie, Harlow walk out on Joel Madden

There hasn't been any pseudo-celeb gossip on Nicole Richie lately, but now Star says the new mom has moved out on deadbeat Joel Madden after she caught him flirting with Mischa Barton. Ho noes!!!1!

After their latest bout of fighting, Nicole apparently announces "We're through," packed a bag and took Harlow Winter with her, the mag says. "This was her way of sending Joel a message," a friend says. "Nicole loves him, but things need to change." Yes, taking your money and only child and walking out would indeed send a message the ride was over for now.

But then, Joel followed Richie to New York for a Fashion Week party on Sept. 6, Star says. She was miserable the whole time, a witness points out, saying, "I didn't see her talk to Joel the entire night, and it seemed like he was avoiding her too. Nicole was just so angry!" OMG! Exclamation points!

But when Madden headed back to L.A. to perform at Chateau Marmont with his band Good Charlotte, who should show up front and center but Mischa, who had just broken up with Taylor Locke?

That would be a shame the relationship seemed to be a good thing for her well at least on the outside looking in. And now her ex fiance DJ AM in that horrid plane crash. I'm sure she has a lot weighing on her mind, and emotions right now.
