Janet Jackson postpones three more concerts
Janet Jackson's mystery illness has affected three more shows, this time hitting closer to home by shutting down Tuesday's show in Fort Lauderdale, the AP reports.
The singer's publicist said over the weekend that it was "evident" she had not recovered from whatever has been causing the problem, shuttering a Saturday show in Greensboro, N.C., and a Sunday show in Atlanta. She has reportedly urged fans to keep their tickets, which will be honored at rescheduled concert date.
Reps for the 42-year-old say she became "suddenly ill" and was hospitalized last Monday night in Montreal shortly after she arrived for a show. She also canceled concerts in Boston and Philadelphia on Wednesday and Thursday. She's supposedly at home "recuperating," although whether she means recovering in the medical sense or in the "man, Velvet Rope wasn't that good" sense, we don't know.
