Kathy Griffin badmouths the suits at Bravo
Kathy Griffin has a rep for being outspoken, but she really ripped into network Bravo, home of her My Life on the D-List, for being deceptive. In an interview with the Windy City Times she takes a swipe at the for saying she's agreed to a contract on a fifth season when she really hasn't.
"The Bravo people have said that I have signed up but I have not. I am trying to extract tens more dollars from Bravo," she says. "Those cheap bastards—you would think after four years and two Emmys that they could come up with it. I am in bitter negotiations, because you know they are very busy with shows like The Break Up with Jo & Slade."
Yikes. And while she says her show isn't moving to Lifetime as rumored, she has been talking to other networks.
"Lifetime is not one of them, but I have been talking to one of the other major cable networks," she says. "Honestly, I would like to stay at NBC since I have worked there since Suddenly Susan, so we will see how it all works out."
Besides the fact that she's obviously asking for more than tens of dollars, we can't think anyone at parent NBC really wants to keep a talent who badmouths them like this. But hey, Joe Rogan keeps finding work in comedy clubs, doesn't he?
