'Playboy' twins Karissa & Kristina Shannon have interesting battery charges in their pasts
By now you've no doubt read about Karissa and Kristina Shannon, the latest fixtures in Hugh Hefner's Playboy Mansion. But have you heard the Clearwater twins were arrested by St. Pete PD in January for felony aggravated battery?
It seems the Shannons, who were working at Wing House at the times, went to a party in the Gateway area on Jan. 10. Kristina began arguing with coworker Erica Lynn Civello when Karissa snuck up behind her and bashed her on the head with a beer bottle. At least, that's what TMZ says.
Court documents say it was Kristina who hit Civello, causing a 3-inch cut and a concussion. And at the same party, Karissa actually hit a man named Benjamin Paul in the face with a bottle, leaving a 1-inch cut below his eye. We don't know what the confusion is, but hey, they are twins.
TMZ also says Karissa has a misdemeanor battery charge from 2007. What they don't say is that the incident was a fight with her own sister.
According to a Clearwater police report, on Nov. 9 the two got into a fight at Karissa's apartment. After "mutual combat," Karissa got the better of Kristina, dropped her to the ground and kicked her in the head repeatedly.
The report says cops found Kristina lying on the ground outside the apartment with a bloody nose, wearing only blue jeans and sobbing. Karissa, on the other hand, "was asking her who had done this to her, as if she had no idea what had happened." Big surprise: both girls were drunk.
It's good to see the twins doing the Bay area proud. And the best news is that since their birthday is Oct. 2, they were charged as adults! Yay! But to Karissa's credit, her sister dropped the charge of misdemeanor domestic battery against her three days later.

These girls are awesome . I think there really doing well . That Mansion is huge . To be honest i think there they have alot of potential . To learn succeed and live there live's there own way. Anyways there fine . Young and learning . Sweet smell of success

There arrest pictures are typical mug shot pictures, they are not flattering. I have seen pictures of them all over the net and they are HOT!!! Way to go Hef! I hope that if I live as long as you that I would still be able to date twin 19yo hotties!

I agree with John's comment below.
I grew up in the same neighborhood as them on Clearwater Beach, they were always cheerleader, preppy, princess types. I'm sure that this Erica girl was not as innocent as the story says, no one just hits somebody over the head with a beer bottle for fun.
What do the twins have to say about the incident? Oh, no one bothered to get there story, I'm sure there is another side to this story.

Give me a break?? There teenagers and they just turned 19yo on October 2nd. I don't know of anyone around that age that hasn't got drunk and done something wrong. Those who claim that they never have or would have at that age, just never got caught. If they were "perfect" teenagers, as if any teenager is perfect, they would not have landed in the pages of Playboy.
Give them a break, there young and allowed to make mistakes. Besides, no one ever got the twins story as to what happened.
