Rachael Ray having surgery, but not for cancer
Forget the rumors that Rachael Ray has throat cancer -- the celebrity cook herself is shooting those down. People says the talk-show host is actually having surgery, though, and will involve her neck.
"Rachael is the picture of health. She is having very minor surgery to remove a benign cyst on her vocal cord," spokesman Charlie Dougiello says. "It's a common in-and-out procedure that she will have in early December and it will not adversely effect any of her daytime show or Food Network tapings."
The surgery will require a mere week of taking it easy, but it's nothing like the life-or-death situation the National Enquirer was reporting.
"She's totally fine. It's just something she needs to take care of. She hasn't been feeling ill," a source tells People. She'll be back to E.V.O.O.ing everything in sight in no time!

Make this your daily (heck, hourly) stop for a fresh serving of pop smarts and cool things from around Tampa Bay and the nation. Compiled by tbt* jack-of-all-trades Joshua Gillin and his merry band of rogue journalists, it pokes fun at ridiculous celebrity worship, collects entertainment tidbits and features fun links to amuse and amaze you and your friends.
OK, so if people don't like her why in the world are they here reading about her in the first place?!?! A down-home kind of girl that hit it big...I'm assuming all of the negative remarks about this awesome women are from pure jealousy. Put some of your negative energy into something productive and maybe, just maybe, you could make something of yourself also!

Forbes estimates her net worth at almost 100 million dollars!! Apparently there are just a few people who like her recipes. Jenny, I say keep on using her recipes if it makes you and your family/friends happy.

RR is to cooking what McDonalds is to fine dining. If I were you, I wouldn't admit to using her recipes unless you are under the age of 7.

Unbelievable that people would actually say negative things about someone they don't even know. If it was Ben R. or Brett F. would you say the same thing? Rachel Ray actually has great recipes, and whenever I use one of her recipes, people always comment on how good they are....Hey boys...her sports appetizers are really good...why don't you hang up your negative comments and check out her website....

Yo, I'd do her.

I'm not really sure what all the buzz is about Rachel Ray. I had heard when she first got her cooking show that men loved her and the women all thought she was cute. But I don't understand her getting her own day time talk show. Fine, if she's a good cook, put her on the Food Network. But a day time talk show??? I don't understand the appeal she apparently has...I just don't see it, but that's only my opinion. May she have a sucessful surgery and speedy recovery.

If you don't like the show, then don't watch it! what's the point in calling her a 'moron and a no talent hack' there's a thing called a (remote control) use it and stop complaining!

To Rich, Sal and Jay...or should I say the 3 stooges...No that wouldn't be fair to Moe, Curly or Larry...jerks no offense to Steve Martin....where do you get off insulting this woman...did she do something to each of you in another life? I have no ties to her but happen to read you comments and remembered what we all should practice and that is if you don't have anything nice to say...keep you mouth shut boys...I'm sure you will comment back about me so you can...and will break the rule just this once...Kiss my Mule...Smile

Maybe we can finally get this "no talent" moron off the air. How she EVER got a cooking show is beyond comprehension!! Open a can of baked beans, and you are better off than anything she "prepares".
