Prosecutor dares Roman Polanski to come back
An L.A. prosecutor said in a court filing Tuesday that Roman Polanski must show up to a Jan. 21 hearing for the director's request to have his 1977 child-sex case dismissed, the L.A. Times reports. The trick is, Polanski would be arrested the moment he stepped off the plane, so we're not betting it'll happen.
"Should Mr. Polanski feel that he was treated unfairly after he pleaded guilty to the statutory rape of a child, he should surrender to the court's jurisdiction so that the allegations may be properly litigated," deputy DA David Walgren wrote, saying the judge should deny the request otherwise.
Polanski, 75, is now living in France with his wife and children. He ran away from the U.S. 31 years ago before a sentence was handed down for an unlawful intercourse with a minor. He had admitted having sex with a 13-year-old during a photo session at Jack Nicholson's house. Big surprise: His attorneys are saying it's likely Roman won't show up for the hearing.

Actually since this is a California all he has to do is hold out for a jury trial. Everyone knows that juries in California find all celebrities innocent no matter what.

This happened 32 YEARS ago and the courts want him now?? What's up with that?

Roman, don't be a fool. Stay in France. You can't trust the courts or the cops! It's just a scam to put you jail and have David Walgren make a name for himself.

Since Mr. Polanski has no respect for US law, then why does he want to return? For US Money?
