Sheree Whitfield appeals to Ga. Supreme Court

The Real Housewives of Atlanta's Sheree Whitfield has said she wanted a seven figure settlement in her divorce from former Falcon ex-husband Bob Whitfield, and she must have meant it. She's filed an appeal with the Georgia Supreme Court in a case to be heard Monday because she didn't like what she got, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting.

This comes even though she was awarded $2,142.87 a month in child support for the couple's two kids, who were 8 and 11 when the Whitfields finally divorced after seven years in 2007 (four of which the couple was separated).

Tbdshereewhitfield010809 She also was given more than $1.1 million in a marital property division, a lump sum payment of $775,000 and portions of three NFL retirement programs totalling somewhere in the neighborhood of $113,422 annually, but no alimony was awarded, the Fulton County public information officer revealed. She also has been ordered to move out of a $2.6 million home in Sandy Springs, which she is fighting, saying she can't afford to buy a home in the neighborhood her kids are used to.

Sheree's lawyers argue that her lack of education (she has only a high school diploma) and inability to earn income (her Bella Azul clothing boutique failed soon after opening) are in stark contrast to NFL retiree Bob, who got an $8 million signing bonus with the Falcons as part of a $30 million six-year contract. He's moved that money into investement properties in Costa Rica, California and Atlanta, and draws $50k a year from his Patchwerks recording studio. And then he has the nerve to return to Stanford for classes!

Not to be outdone, Bob's lawyers are arguing that not only should Sheree not get another dime, but that she should be fined $2,500 for bringing a frivolous appeal. How will she pay for that? That $113,000 doesn't buy what it used to!

This would be a good time for her to get over herself and teach her children a good lesson in that not everything is handed to you on a silver platter and you actually do have to work for what you want. Go back to school and better yourself instead of trying to be someone your not.. REALity bites!!!

Erica

I believe that only the housewives of Orange County and NY have real jobs. These womens on the ATL show were complete frauds and they should ALL be replaced with some women who actually work, make money from home and do their thing for real.

jay

The women on those shows are so shallow and greedy they make south tampa women look like saints.

Treasure

All I can say is WOW!! Stop being so greedy girl and take care of your kids move on with your life be happy because believe me that money will run out so it's best to make you happy and maybe consider some education.
