Are Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron engaged?
The rumors that Zac Efron is going to marry Vanessa Hudgens have surfaced again, this time courtesy of the National Enquirer, which is no doubt riding an ebbing tide of Oscar buzz. What is this, 2007?
The rag says Efron proposed to Hudge on a trip to Japan in January, and the pair are planning a 2010 wedding. That's a big deal to Vanessa's mom, Gina, who apparently didn't like how her daughter was living in sin, which is news to us. When did they move in together? Anyway:
"Zac is relieved to be out of the pressure cooker, because Vanessa's mom has been putting serious heat on him to make an honest woman of her daughter," the ubiquitous unnamed source says. "She is old-school and doesn't approve of Vanessa living with Zac without some type of wedding promise."
We call BS on this one right away. After seeing Zac's budding mullet on Sunday, there's no way they're engaged, because no fiancee would let her man out on the town with that haircut.
