Andre Benjamin was going 109 mph near ATL

Andre Benjamin, a.k.a. Andre 3000 from Outkast, is free on bond after police charged him with driving 109 mph on a highway in suburban Atlanta, the AP reports.

Authorities say the 33-year-old was clocked speeding in his Porsche in a 65 mph zone south of Atlanta early Saturday. He's free on a $1,200 property bond pending a court date April 29.

Police say Benjamin told them he was going so fast because he missed an exit and had to turn around, which we find completely reasonable in that neck of the woods. If you're not pressing 90 on I-75 there, you're roadkill.

Britney Spears may be dating backup dancer

Rumor has it that Britney Spears has a thing for one of the guys on her Circus tour, and surprisingly, it's not one of the truck drivers.

Star says Brit has her eye on 21-year-old Chase Benz, a backup dancer from Tennessee, combining both the home state of Justin Timberlake and the profession of ex-husband Kevin Federline. Oh Brit, will you never learn?

"Brit really loves the way Chase looks, and she has a thing for Southern boys with loads of charm," a source says. "She's totally into him. And being on tour again, plus having a sexy new guy to get close to, has put Brit in a great frame of mind."

But don't take some anonymous source's word for it. If you truly want the dirt on someone, ask their grandmother: "He's a true gentleman and has a big heart, grandma Elsie Mann says. "She's lucky to have him in her show -- and Chase just adores her!"

And there you have it, because gran always gives the most honest assessment of a person's character.

The movie is about a couple challenged by their long-distance relationship. Challenges? In a relationship? Surely they jest. But they pair hooked up after shooting He's Just Not That Into You, and that spawned a yearlong relationship and $145 million at the global box office, so why not try again?

Real Houswives of NYC's Countess Luann de Lesseps getting divorced

While her frenemy Kelly Bensimon is busy beating her boyfriend, The Real Housewives of New York City's Countess Luann de Lesseps is on the outs with her hubby of 16 years, Count de Lesseps. And gee, their anniversary was just on March 16, too.

"They decided to separate. She got wind he was seeing somebody and he didn't answer her when she called," a friend told the New York Post's Page Six. "He finally sent her an e-mail saying he was with an Ethiopian woman in Geneva and he was serious with her."

That couldn't have been happy news for the countess, who has two kids, Victoria and Noel, and a book called Class With the Countess coming out next month. Even with a divorce, though, she's planning on keeping that title. Class With the Broke and Shamed Socialite doesn't have the same oomph.

"Luann was blindsided. She was just devastated," the source said. "They have basically lived apart for many years -- he lives in Europe and comes and goes as he pleases, but she never thought this would happen."

Yes, who would think letting your rich husband come and go as he pleases would lead to any problems?

Queen Latifah sued by makeup, fashion folk

The Juice* has always been a fan of Queen Latifah, and has noticed girl has been looking good lately (especially with all the ubiquitous Cover Girl makeup adverts), but what's her secret? Apparently it's cheating a makeup artist and fashion stylist out of $1 million in overhauling.

Celebrity cosmetology consultant Roxanna Floyd says she lost $700,000 when the rapper-actress failed to pay her for work she did between July 2005 and February 2008, the AP reports. In a separate lawsuit, celebrity fashion stylist Susan Moses said she was cheated of $300,000 during the same period. The lawsuits were filed Monday in federal court in Manhattan.

Her majesty's spokewoman says the Queen can't comment on the lawsuits, but did specify they have no merit. Because it's not like celebrities have a tendency to feel entitled to free services when they're really not or anything.

For all those scratching their heads about how Lindsay Lohan could afford a $100,000 Maserati (likely the tiny crossover audience with tbt*'s Rides section), you'll be glad to know it's not like she was at the plasma bank selling her fluids to pay for it. Oh no, she just got it from porn king Dennis DeSantis, TMZ says.

Those of a certain personality type will remember the name DeSantis as the producer behind such classic titles as Origami So Horny and Butt Sluts. Dennis apparently lent LiLo the ride, which she promptly let her assistant drive and smush the bumper for a cool $10,000 in damages.

TMZ says there's no agreement to swap the car for screen time, which we find hard to believe. The girl is a reformed coke-addict actress who can't find work and like to date girls, so the storyline pretty much writes itself. Besides, Mean Girls Gone Wild and Get Freaky Friday have a nice ring to it.

Two Lovers director James Gray blames Joaquin Phoenix for failure

Oh, it all seems so long ago that Joaquin Phoenix went on David Letterman's show and acted like a space cadet. But it's no laughing matter to Two Lovers director James Gray, who is blaming the actor and his little road show for ruining the box office for his flick, which also starred Gwyneth Paltrow.

“It’s like, Letterman was trying to get the movie out there, but the only thing that’s out there now is a crazy person with a beard making a fool of himself!” Gray tells London's Times, complaining about his supposed documentation of a new career as a rapper. “I have no idea what the hell that guy is shooting. The whole thing is not to my taste, and I’ve let Casey know this.”

And while we feel oh-so-bad for Gray's project, which has brought in about $2 million despite some good reviews, we're more interested in his perspective on Joaquin's devolution.

"I’ve seen him in his house, and he has his own recording studio that he built right there," Gray says. "So if this is a hoax, then it’s the most elaborate thing that I have ever seen.”

Certainly more elaborate than Two Lovers' marketing campaign, it seems.

Liam Neeson back to work after Natasha Richardson's death

Liam Neeson has returned to work following the funeral of his wife, Natasha Richardson, who was buried March 22 following her bizarre skiing accident, the New York Post's Page Six says.

The actor was spotted sitting alone at the bar of Toronoto's Hazelton Hotel, where he was working on the indie flick Chloe with Julianne Moore. A rep confirms Neeson has "completed the movie" since then.

"It was so sad," a sources said. "He looked like he was in an Edward Hopper print."

Natasha's sister Joely Richardson also has resumed working, going back to the set of the BBC's remake of The Day of the Triffids, Us magazine reports.

Britney Spears complains about dad in voice mail

In the Completely Useless Britney Spears News Dept. (is there another kind?), JFXOnline.com is circulating an alleged voicemail from the singer to an unknown party (presumably a lawyer) demanding that her dad Jamie be removed from his conservatorship.

“Hi my name’s Britney Spears. I called you earlier. I’m calling again because I just wanted to make sure that during the process of eliminating the conservatorship that my father has threatened me several times, you know, he’ll take my children away," the caller says. "I just want to be guaranteed that everything will be fine with the process of you guys taking care of everything that things will stay the same as far as my custodial time. That’s it, bye."

Now, this phone call was purported to have been made at 12:29 a.m. on Jan. 21, 2009, somewhere around the time dad complained of Britney having secret contact with Adnan Ghalib and Sam Lutfi, and we know how well that had been going. But since Brit is making big bucks on her Circus tour, it sounds like everything worked out, even if this call is real.
