Beyonce postpones her concert in Malaysia
After complaints from a conservative Islamic group that the show would be immoral, Beyonce Knowles has postponed a concert in Malaysia. Doesn't she know that if she likes the place she needs to put some clothes on it?
The Sunday show in Kuala Lumpur "has been postponed to a future date to be announced shortly," Malaysian entertainment company Marctensia told the AP. "The postponement is solely (the) decision of the artist and has nothing to do with other external reasons." Even if those external reasons include opposition from the very vocal Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, who said the concert was promoting "Western sexy performances"?
Beyonce also canceled a show in 2007 and went to Indonesia instead, although this time there's apparently an understanding about stage costumes -- Malaysia requires performers be covered from knee to elbow, with no cleavage. Hey, if Gwen Stefani can have a concert there with no problems, it should be easy.
