Lindsay Lohan won't pose topless for Playboy

There will be no more nude photos of Lindsay Lohan on the newsstands, since the unemployable starlet as allegedly turned down a $700,000 offer to pose topless in Playboy's 55th anniversary issue, coming out in January. What, does she have standards now or something?

"If there's nudity, then the answer's no ... She's not going down the (New York) magazine road again," Lohan's rep told Playboy creative consultant, Hal Lifson, the New York Post's Page Six says. You remember those photos, right? The Marilyn Monroe, uh, "tribute" spread? That didn't go over too well.

Lifson apparently wanted to do a tribute to Ann-Margret this time, drawing inspiration from her film Kitten With A Whip. Maybe it's for the best that LiLo not be involved, after all.

Oprah Winfrey still won't interview Sarah Palin

Oprah Winfrey wasted no time in responding to a Drudge Report allegation today that she was refusing to interview GOP vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin because of Winfrey's allegiance to Barack Obama. The result? A resounding heck no.

"Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on," an insider apparently told the Drudge Report. "Oprah's Web site is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama."

Not true, O claims, releasing this statement: "The item in today's Drudge Report is categorically untrue. There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over."

Y'hear that? She'll just have to wait until after the election is over, is all. 'Cause if she wins, it's not like she'll be busy. Besides, you think Oprah would do something like have Obama on her show twice already and then ignore a personality also of historical importance? Oh, wait.

ANTM's Nigel Barker's wife expecting baby girl

Even though not nearly as many of you seem to care about Cycle 11 of America's Next Top Model (ratings were down 11 percent from last season's premiere, and 32 percent from the season before that), it's still fun to hear that "noted fashion photographer" Nigel Barker and his wife Christen Chin Barker are expecting another baby.

"We found out it’s going to be a little girl," Barker told Us, saying she is due in December. "We’re going to look at her, and when we see her, we’re going to come up with a name."

It will be the couple's second child -- son Jack is 2. But the best quote came when the mag asked if Tyra Banks would be the godmother: "I think she will be," Barker joked, "and Miss J will be a fairy godmother."

Milo Ventimiglia is mad at Hayden Panettiere

Hayden Panettiere, who just turned 19 on Aug. 21, is getting ready to leave the nest and move out of her parents' home. That's great to hear she's facing that rite of passage and taking her biggest step to independence. Too bad boyfriend Milo Ventimiglia has a problem with it.

Seems the 31-year-old thought he and his barely legal cutie would buy a house together, Star says. Slow your roll there, pilgrim!

"They were looking, and then Hayden suddenly bought this $2.6 million house in West Hollywood," one of Hayden's friends says. "He isn't happy."

And that is apparently "freaking out" Hayden, who's "not even thinking about settling down," the friend says.

Well, maybe Milo shouldn't be dating a girl who was in diapers while he was a teen-ager going to see the Tim Burton version Batman a dozen times. That age difference should have been the first clue that maybe she wouldn't be ready to play house just yet.

Jonas Brothers prepare for their own TV show

Just when you thought there couldn't be any more Jonas Brothers news, the trio tell ELLEgirl magazine they're going to be getting their own Disney Channel series. We can hear the screaming and sighing now.

"It's going to be about us as a band but dealing with normal things like trying to take out the trash and not get hounded by fans," Joe says. "It's going to be a funny show, and it's going to be a great cast."

Well, throw in Nick and Kevin, and you're already halfway there. But word is the premise has undergone some changes, moving from the original plot of the band acting as spies to something not yet revealed for the unnamed series.

"The writers are working on it as we speak, so we should be seeing scripts any day," Joe adds. "I'm really excited." Oh, we are too, Joe. We'll watch after we finish our HD box set of Planet Earth.

Lynne Spears didn't send Bristol Palin any gifts

In other Lynne Spears news, the cash-printing stage mom is denying reports that she sent a gift to VP nominee Sarah Palin's own little bundle of sin and regret, Bristol, screwing up gossipy news that touched outlets from The Juice* all the way up to the Washington Post. What, you think Lynne actually cares about presidential politics?

"I just got off the phone with Lynne. I can tell you that she hasn't sent her any gifts, but that she does support Sarah and, of course, can empathize with their situation," Curt Handling, Lynne's P.R. guy at publisher Thomas Nelson, tells E! News.

She probably didn't mind the press, until details started coming out she only spent $60 on burp cloths. What do you think she is, tight with her kids' money?

Man sued Gene Simmons over IndyCar deal

Gene Simmons may show up for the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg every year, but some guy says the Kiss bassist wasn't there for his end of a bargain for a marketing deal with the Indy Racing League. Allan Brown sued Gene and two business partners, claiming they cut him out of a 2006 deal between Simmons and the racing league, the AP reports.

Brown wants unspecified damages and is claiming fraud and slander. His suit alleges he helped broker the deal between Simmons and the IRL, but was cut out of the contract while on a personal vacation, the AP says. He also claims Simmons and his business partners mischaracterized him as "lazy" and "rich" to racing league officials. To which The Juice* says, there are worse things to be called.

We all knew that Lynne Spears' book on motherhood came to a screeching halt when we found out teenybopper Jamie Lynn was preggers, so what does the mother of the year do? Reschedule the release to Sept. 16 and change it to a tell-all. And boy, what a tell-all!

Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World, has already been leaked online, and thanks to TransWorldNews, we know some of the juicier bits. It seems young Britney was on the drank by 13, and cashed in her V chip at the ripe old age of 14 to a high school football player that Lynne encouraged her to date so the kid would be more popular. That sure worked out, didn't it?

Lynne also says Britney started taking drugs at 15, during the recording of Baby One More Time, which would sure explain a lot throughout the years. Really, did we all think she was of sound mind when she hooked up with Kevin Federline? And the obvious question is, why did no one stop Lynne's reign of terror???

Sticky Fingaz directs movie: 'A Day in the Life'

How can you make the hood gangsta saga genre fresh these days? If you're Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones (remember him? He was the bald, angry guy from Onyx), you make A Day in the Life, a hip-hopera that looks way better than anything R. Kelly could come up with.

The hook of the flick, which is being released some time in 2009 by Lion's Gate, is that every single line is rapped verses instead of straight dialogue. That's a pretty tall order for a movie Jones describes as "Godfather meets Romeo & Juliet."

"I'm an artist and I create music, and at the same time I'm an actor, so it made sense to try something innovative and merge the two together," Jones was quoted on HipHopDX.com.

What's more impressive than the cast -- including Mekhi Phifer, Omar Epps, Bokeem Woodbine, Michael Rapaport, Faison Love, Malinda Williams and even Naughty by Nature's Anthony "Treach" Criss -- is that it actually looks kind of cool, since everyone seems so earnest. And who knew ol' Clarence Williams had flow like that?

Kim Kardashian wants to make some music

Praise be to the music industry, because years of dreadful "albums" from the likes of Lindsay Lohan and even our beloved Scarlett Johansson have convince Kim Kardashian she has what it takes to make it big. The pseudo-celeb told Hyla from the Yo on E! satellite radio show that she's like to give it a shot.

"I would be down, if it was something fun," KiKa said. "I love music, so it would just have to be the right thing."

And while a love of music is an ostensible prerequisite, Kardashian has a laundry list of actually talented people that she'd like to help her out.

"I'd say a little bit Michael Jackson in there. I would love to work with, like, Timbaland as a producer and maybe Justin Timberlake," she said. Thankfully, there's no real project in the works, but we thought we'd scare you with the possibility.

Britney Spears is back on the VMAs after all

We're pretty tired of this, so here's the AP's take:

It’s Britney, baby, one more time. Despite her train-wreck performance at the MTV Video Music Awards last year, the network confirms Britney Spears will kick off the show once again.

But it won’t be a performance. Instead, MTV Networks Music Group President Van Toffler said Wednesday, it’ll be something “fun and unexpected” on Sunday night’s show.

Unexpected is probably the kindest way to describe Spears’ performance at last year’s VMAs. In what was heavily promoted as the troubled singer’s comeback, she instead gave an unfocused, almost unwatchable performance of Gimme More, one of the many lowpoints in her year of debacles.

So what made Spears and MTV reunite one more time?

“MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I’m excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated,” Spears said in a statement.

“I think for Britney, people are rooting for her, and she’s really on the road to recovery,” Toffler said, noting that MTV had nominated her for three VMAs, including video of the year, for her clip Piece of Me.

"Fun and unexpected," huh? What, she's going to cancel her appearance and go take care of her kids for once?

Jamie Lynn Spears hates Casey Aldridge, but Bristol Palin is worth a gift

Jamie Lynn Spears is back in the headlines after a nice couple weeks off, this time because Star says she's fighting baby Maddie's daddy Casey Aldridge because he's a cheating cheater. Go figure. And now she wants full custody of the tyke, which he is fighting, since that means his meal ticket to a lifetime of Jamie Lynn's (and maybe even big sister Britney's, somehow) major-league money might be slipping away.

"He's not a spiteful person," his friend tells Star. "He plays to win. He doesn't really want full custody of Maddie, but he knows it might be his best weapon against Jamie Lynn." And that's a big deal, since the source says Jamie Lynn's been "giving him tens of thousands of dollars for electronics, video games and the truck that she bought him — in fact, he spent $8,000 last month alone on gas and sporting equipment."

Meanwhile, Jamie Lynn has allegedly sent a gift to beleagured GOP vice prexy nominee Sarah Palin's 17-year-old daughter Bristol. Hey, those unwed teenage mothers have to stick together! Well, technically, a source at ritzy Beverly Hills baby store Petit Tresor says Lynne Spears, matriarch of this family disaster, sent a gift on Jamie Lynn's behalf ($60 worth of pink burpcloths, so says the source). But mama Lynne has done enough to her own kids -- why not extend her reach to other famous families now, too?

Akon is going to trial for throwing dumb kid

Remember how Akon got angry at some kid who tossed something at him during a June 2007 concert in upstate New York, so he got the kid up on stage and then airplane-tossed him into the crowd? Yeah, well, he's finally headed to trial for that little bit of goodness, but he's all cool about it, pleading not guilty to misdemeanor charges of enangering the welfare of a minor and second-degree harassment. Wait, what? You can see him doing it in the video above. Does he not know what his plea means?

The 35-year-old singer/rapper/miscreant (trivia answer: his real name is Aliaune Thiam) asked a judge in Fishkill for a jury trial at a hearing Wednesday. He's due back in court unless he can cut a deal with the poor doofus who got tossed while security stood there and drooled -- and presumably ironed things out with the girl the kid landed on, since she claims she got a concussion.

"Akon looks forward to putting this incident behind him, and in the meantime he will continue to meet every requirement set forth by the court," his attorney, Andrea Zellan said. Those requirements should include an understanding that if someone throws something at you, just have them figuratively tossed out of the show.

Daniel Radcliffe lost virginity to an older woman

To any young lady out there who has an unhealthy obsession with those promo posters from Equus, we hate to tell you that Daniel Radcliffe is already deflowered -- by an older woman, no less.

In an interview in Details, the Harry Potter star said he celebrated his 16th birthday -- Britain's age of consent -- about three years ago by doing the deed legally with a woman his senior. The age difference "wasn't ridiculous," he told Details, "but it would freak some people out."

And thanks to those sleuths at Us, we hear that the now ex-girlfried in Amy Byrne, an assistant hairdresser who was 23 when she and Danny boy met on the set of Goblet of Fire in 2005. But that's okay, since Daniel says he'd like to play a drag queen at some point, which shows all those years at Hogwart's taught him to be creative.

David Letterman is getting tired of late night

With Jay Leno heading off to that big chin-buffer in the TV studio sky, David Letterman is saying he's about set to throw in the towel at CBS' Late Show. Sorta.

"The way I feel now, I would like to go beyond 2010, not much beyond, but you know, enough to go beyond. You always like to be able to excuse yourself on your own terms," Letterman told Rolling Stone. "If the network is happy with that, great. If they wanna make a change in 2010, you know, I'm fine with that, too."

So wait, is he saying he wants to quit? 'Cause ol' boy is 61 years old, and that ain't what they call spring chickenly anymore. We doubt Dave has seen the latter side of 11:30 p.m. since NHL playoff games went late back when the Rangers won the Stanley Cup in 1994.
