Report: Lindsay Lohan, Heath Ledger secretly dating at time of his death

File this under freaky: Us is reporting today that Lindsay Lohan was dating actor Heath Ledger back in January 2008 at the time of his death.

The romance was a closely held secret, but was somehow discovered through a recorded phone call between her mother, Dina, and father/ex-husband Michael Lohan.

News of Ledger's death was devastating to Lindsay, her mom says.

Ledger died at age 28 on January 22, 2008 from an accidental but toxic overdose of prescription drugs. The way he died made Lindsay's mom nervous.

"When she's drunk or takes an Adderall with it she will do something like Heath Ledger did in a second without thinking," she tells Michael Johan on the tape, according to Us.

It's not immediately known who released the tape of the phone conversation. Lindsay had recently criticized her father for leaking other tapes. "He's disgusting to do this," she wrote on Twitter. "It really hurts my mom for me and my siblings."

Lindsay Lohan gets another year of probation

A judge in Beverly Hills gave Lindsay Lohan an extra year of probation for her three-year sentence after the troubled gossip bait failed to attend alcohol education classes for her two DUI cases, People reports. And might we just say, Lindsay is looking positively radiant these days.

"I ordered you into court today because I wanted to speak to you directly. I don't want to get any more notices again ... no warrants ... where you're thumbing your nose at the court," L.A. Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel told Lohan. Attorney Shawn Chapman Holley explained that LiLo had merely failed to notify class instructors she would be back to complete the courses after she left the country for work.

Revel ordered Lindsay to get court approval before leaving town and threatened her with jail time if she didn't comply.

"I'm rooting for you to successfully complete probation," Revel added, although we would have asked for proof that Lohan was, in fact, working. We don't think she could get a job as the poster child for syphilis at this point, especially since Joey from Friends already has that gig.

Lindsay Lohan knew house robbery suspect

The suspect who was arrested for allegedly breaking into Lindsay Lohan's house may have been more than just some random stranger. In fact, TMZ says Linds and Nick Prugo have done quite a bit of hanging out together. Doing what is still up in the air.

Sources from the set of the TV movie Labor Pains say that the 18-year-old Prugo was on the set with LiLo several times last year, the site says. One source places their guesstimate at as many as 10 times. So what's the deal?

Deal may be the right word: Prugo was arrested for cocaine possession last February and was put in a drug diversion program before being arrested last month for DUI. We'll just have to wait and see if there's something going on here that would otherwise get us sued for writing.

Arrest made in Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge burglaries

The suspect shown on security videos breaking into Lindsay Lohan's home has been arrested, LAPD told People. Wow, we all can sleep soundly at night knowing that ordeal is over with.

Nicolas Prugo, 18, was arrested Thursday in connection to break-ins at LiLo's house last month and Audrina Patridge's home in February. He was charged with felony burglary and was being held on $20,000 bond, the mag says.

Yes, we have found (him)," Dina Lohan said. "God is good." Like God had something to do with this teenager getting arrested.

What's curious is that there was a woman on those security tapes, showing the pair ripping a safe out of the wall and stealing bags, shoes and jewelry last month. Apparently the same pair took several bags of stuff from Audrina's place, too.

"As of now we just have this one person in custody, and the investigation is ongoing," LAPD spokeswoman Karen Rayner said. Does that mean there's another supervillain robber out there terrorizing young starlets, scoffing at authority and stealing matching accessories? Sure, why not.

Lindsay Lohan offered $900,000 to be nude in Playboy

We know, we know, enough with the Lindsay Lohan. But now that Playboy has offered her $900,000 to pose nude, we have to check in with her. Take it, Lindsay -- you never know if you'll make that much again!

Hugh Hefner and Co. apparently offered the sum so LiLo would be part of the magazine's 55th anniversary issue, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. They had offered her somewhere between $500,000 and $700,000 about this time last year and she turned it down. Who knew Lohan was such a growth stock?

"If there's nudity, the answer is no. She's not going down that road again," her rep said, referring to her Marilyn Monroe-aping spread in New York magazine in early 2008. That's another Monroe reference in the same day; one more and we could've won a free bag of Funyons or something.

Safe, watches missing after burglary at Lindsay Lohan's house

Like a bad rash that won't go away, we have to bring you more news from Lindsay Lohan. It seems the people who unsuccessfully tried to break into LiLo's home in May returned with a vengeance, getting into her Hollywood Hills house on Sunday while she and sister Ali were gone, the AP reports. Well, we don't know if it was the same people, but the M.O. was the same.

Spokeswoman Leslie Sloane-Zelnik says many of Lohan's "personal belongings were taken without remorse." LAPD officer Norma Eisenman has said authorities were investigating whether any items have been taken.

Michael Lohan told TMZ that a safe had been ripped off a wall and a couple of watches were stolen. The security video from the home has been turned over to police. We hope Lindsay made sure there was nothing Juice*-worthy on that before she pulled it out of the VCR.

Lindsay Lohan turned down The Hangover role

How many people still care about Lindsay Lohan? That's what we thought. Too bad she didn't make things any easier by reportedly turning down a role in hit comedy The Hangover. Too busy stealing tanning formulas, perhaps?

The 23-year-old could have been Jade the stripper after director Todd Phillips asked her, but she said the script "had no potential," Us says. Apparently LiLo and Phillips share an agent, but that didn't matter: "The agent tried hard to get Phillips to consider her, and when he finally agreed, Lindsay said she didn't like the script," a source told the mag. Heather Graham thanks her, though.

By no potential, that means more than $200 million at the box office thus far. That's a lot of eBay Maseratis.

Lindsay Lohan got $70,000 for her birthday

We try, dear Juice*heads, to ignore Lindsay Lohan -- really, we do. But she turns 23 on Thursday, which in itself is no big deal, but word is that the MGM Grand in las Vegas shelled out $70,000 to host last Saturday's "pre-celebration" at the hotel's Wet Republic pool party, the New York Post's Page Six says. That's a lot of birthday cake.

The promotional event for Sevyn Nine tanning spray (of which we know Linds is a fan) featured the one-time actress in five different bathing suits and lots of photo-taking before she hit the club. Sources say she wasn't drinking, but there was a more important purpose at hand -- making some much-need money. That would explain why no one else was there.

"None of her really close friends were there," a source told the tabloid. "The only person who was even known was Brittny Gastineau."

And really, that's pushing it. Boy, it seems like just yesterday Pure was canceling her 21st birthday bash because LiLo was in rehab.

Did Lindsay Lohan steal $400,000 in jewelry from magazine shoot?

We were trying to ignore prior reports that Lindsay Lohan may possibly have stolen $50,000 worth of jewelry off the set of a magazine shoot, but then People reported that the figure was actually $400,000! That officially reaches the limits of our ability to ignore this stuff.

Scotland Yard is investigating the disappearance of Dior diamond earrings and a necklace that were used in a June 6 Elle photo shoot. But while the swag was last seen on LiLo's frame and turned up missing two days later, the actress herself is not a suspect anymore.

"I can confirm on behalf of Elle magazine that items of jewelry went missing from an Elle photoshoot ... and the matter is now being investigated by the police," an Elle U.K. spokeswoman told the mag. "Elle has no reason to believe that Lindsay Lohan was in any way responsible and has no further comment to make."

Lindsay's rep said police have questioned everyone from the shoot, including the stylists and the photographers. We're wondering if they've questioned Lohan's druggie friends, too; they may know something about it.

Dr. Drew Pinsky wants Lindsay Lohan on Celebrity Rehab

We've been trying very hard to ignore Lindsay Lohan, even with her recent reunion with Samantha Ronson, but when Dr. Drew Pinsky's involved, we listen up. ABCNews.com says Dr. Drew is trying to get LiLo on a fourth season of Celebrity Rehab. Hot dog!

The site says producers have offered the 22-year-old a six-figure deal to appear on the show. Does that include the two decimal places after change? Because she seems like a 99-cent kind of girl.

"I'm really convinced that something horrible is going to have to happen to her before she really gets over it and embraces sobriety," Pinsky said in Parade. "She needs to give it up. And it's going to be a while before she does. I have this image that she's going to lose a limb or something before she does."

But don't fire up the TiVo just yet:  "It should be clarified that Dr. Drew is never involved in the casting process and at this point there is no fourth season to speak of," a VH1 spokesperson says. Well of course not; Lindsay would have to sign up before that could happen!
