Tied game

Even though the Lightning has limited the Devils scoring chances and Holmqvist has played well, I think we all knew that Tampa Bay wasn't going to win this game 1-0. John Madden put any thought of that to rest with a backhanded scored in the final three minutes of the period. Tortorella talked the other day abotu how meaningful those scores in the first few minutes and the last few minutes in terms of changing the momentum of the game. Madden has had a great game so far. At the end of the period, he beat Dan Boyle for the puck in the corner and fed Jim Dowd for what could have been the go-ahead goal.
