Ice Fest (and individual game tickets) Aug. 25

The Lightning will unveil their new logo (though you already know what that looks like) and its new sleeker jersey at the annual Ice Fest event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 25 at the St. Pete Times Forum.

The uniform will be unveiled at noon. There will be a Q&A for season-ticket holders with GM Jay Feaster and coach John Tortorella at 11 a.m. followed at 1 p.m. by another with assistant GM Claude Loiselle and assistant coach Mike Sullivan.

Players, such as Chris Gratton, will be available for autographs. Dave Andreychuk also is supposed to make an appearance. Hot dogs and soda will be $1 and some Lightning merchandise will be 50 percent off.

Individual game tickets also go on sale that day at the Times Forum box office.

i was very disappointed in the new logo. not much different the the current one. ice fest was a big waste of my time...

We just couldnt make a lightning bolt WITHOUT words on it, could we?.......

Mark my words, the logo will change again in 5 years....we can only hope.

The new logo looks like something an eight year old would wear on their pajamas. Too comic book looking. Is that the best they could do?

I'll probably skip Ice Fest since it looks like its only going to be Gratton (even though the poster on the Lightning website shows a picture of the Big 3).

Gee Lightning Management... thanks for taking yet another crap on the season ticket holders! Way to show support for your committed fans. Seems like for an "Ice Fest" you could muster up a few more players, such as Vinnie, Marty, Boyle, Richie, Roy or others?
