Darche, Jancevski called up
The team announced this morning that wing Mathieu Darche and defenseman Dan Jancevski were called up from AHL Norfolk. No word on any corresponding moves downward, but it's safe to assume Tampa Bay wants a little more offensive punch from it's third and fourth lines and Darche has been a dynamo with the Admirals. In four games since he was sent down, he has three goals and seven assists and was the AHL's player of the week last week. Jancevski has four assists and 14 PIM with Norfolk. A seventh defenseman will give the team more options on the blue line.
The team had been playing with a 20-man roster (a budgetary move), which meant no scratches and, as well, no competition from within for playing time.

Finally.
Maybe a little hunger for once on third and fourth lines. I had no problem with Darche; can't see how anyone else could've; the kid was good. Not the biggest guy in the world but he can play.
How sad is it that we have to clear roster positions to pay a newbie?
This team is going places, yahoo.
Going strong. Going quick. Going tuna.

Darche has earned his recall to the Bolt's roster. There seems to be a number of the Lightning faithful who felt that he legitimately belonged on the team all along.

Darche is a good role player and deserves a spot on our 3rd or 4th line. Smaby could be used as trade bait to get more picks or packaged for someone to help out team later in year! With Lundin,Ranger, and Obrien we have anough young blue liners in the fold right now!
