Ouch! Im not sure what hurt more to watch on the Thrasher's fifth goal...Richie's pass on the blueline or Janik's poor attempt to play defense. Come on Bolts, hang in there!!!
We all know Smaby is not NHL ready, but he is young and has time to become a solid, hard-hitting defenseman that we need. Janik is at the end of his career and has had many chances to prove himself. Could it be time to bring Smaby up now that Lukowich is injured? Or do we not have a choice?

Well I hate to say it but this team needs a shake up. 1st id start by bringing up Ramo. 2nd I would put Denis on waivers. 3rd I would send Janik to Norfolk and bring up Mihalik(sp?). Im not ready to say we need a coaching change because i still believe in Torts.
The goaltending and the blue line stink right now. If were going with the young D just bring up the young goalie and go with it!

I can't even listen to the radio anymore without wanting to throw it in the lake and it has nothing to do with the way Mishkin calls the game. This team needs an enema!

Losing Lukowich for a few games can't hurt. He's -15, 730th out of 734 players in the NHL in +/-, the worst of any of our D, and only McCarthy from Atlanta is behind him out of all defensemen. Being paired with that other loser, Janik can't help, but his play has been uninspiring at best.
What happened to the guy who was the #3 D-man in the league for +/- in 2003-2004?
