Talking Lightning trades

Check out Catch 47's Press Box tonight at 6:30 and 10:30 p.m. as host Tom Jones and his guests talk about the trades of Brad Richards and Vinny Prospal, the signing of Dan Boyle and just where the Lightning will go from here.

Comments

To whom it might concern (Bear in particular) Halpern still has 2 years left on his contract. Jokinen is signed through next season/ 2008-2009 and then he is a RFA not a UFA. Smith has 1 more year on his contract as well so please get your info right. None of them are UFA after this year. Google "NHL salary cap" to get the info for yourself.

Anyone talking about this other kid we got from Dallas a while back, Junior Lessard?
Since he came to Norfolk he hasn't exactly been wafting around the ice like, well let's not rub it in.
The kid has been lighting the lamp and seems to want a shot at the big barn.
Delusions aside, we aren't having a post season and may do well to evaluate Sterling's work with some kids crashing around with our guys.
If Lessard turns out, then he came to us well coached and we might suspect a problem in our training staff.... Har dee har har.

Reading the Romano article from today, I came across this comment from Vinny.

"I don't know what their budget is going to be, but you're definitely hoping they do spend some of that money and get some new guys in here," said Vinny Lecavalier. "I guess we'll see how it goes this summer."
=========================
They better look at these comments very, very carefully and act accordingly. If this franchise loses Lecavalier next summer because the ownership is being cheap and not providing him with a decent supporting cast, that will pretty much be the end of the franchise as we know it. They will once again return to being the worst team in the league, and eventually moved out of the area.

Casper, Feaster was on the radio yesterday and said that we can expect to see him at the NHL level here before too long. He said "he deserves a chance to play".

Please dear God,fire feaster and Torts!

Im from Austria and the biggest Bolts fan in europe.I was so upset when I heared that Richards was traded.This day is going to be the end of the Bolts.Next year they're giong to lose Vinny and move to another area.

Herb its Ritchie for Halpern, the rest is dressing..spelled salary dump.

Salary dump to keep Boyle and get a supporting cast for next year. Finish last and get Stamkos to replace Brad next year.

Oh so you are saying it was best to keep Brad and wallow in the basement next year and to lose Vinny4 and Boyle? It that what I understand here?
