No one's fault, sign is wrong again
It's been a tough couple of weeks for the Lightning's marketing department.
First, the big picture that went up on the side if the St. Pete Times Forum showed No. 1 draft choice Steve Stamkos as a left-handed shot instead of right-handed. That got fixed. But then defenseman Dan Boyle was traded, and since his picture also was part of that sign, well, it has to be changed again.
As we have said before, never a dull moment.

Follow the Lightning through the season with beat writer Damian Cristodero and the Times sports staff. We invite your participation in the comments area.
Hey, who's a liquid crystal display?
Oh, you mean lowest common denominator. As in another Caps troll choking on sour grapes. (Makes sense - "Caps" and "choking" have certainly become synonymous over the decades)

Fredinator, that was hysterical. Wow. Still wiping away the tears from all the laughing.

Again you have to wonder, why would they $pend the ca$h to redo the sign with Boyle in it when they knew full well beforehand that he was going to be on the chopping block? And if they didn't know they were going to be shopping a player of Boyle's caliber, WHY didn't they? How indescribably stupid is this whole thing? Tune in Tuesday for answers :)

Perhaps they will put up a picture of Koules and Barrie!!??!!

Just go down to Sun City Center and take a picture of a couple of old guys-just tell everyone they are Recchi and Roberts. Put that on the building.

They should put a sign up there that says Home of the Tampa Bay Lightning...period. The team will market itself by winning and only by winning. Two bit signs don't sell tickets.

Ever since Captain Dave came down during a storm that spot on the building has been the kiss of death. Put Denis up and he was going to be our goaltending savior-NOT. Put Vincent up and bag about 4 years of play-offs-then dont make the play-offs. Then you get Stamkos error and the Dan being traded. I think we should put nothing back up and leave it alone.

Pretty funny....

As I recall there were several people who predicted this scenario, maybe it was Geo and PD. Anyhow you have been vindicated on one count at least. GO BOLTS!

OK, just wait for the season to start before replacing the sign! Are the ticket prices going to be increased to pay for these goofs?

Just build a rotating sign, so you can change it every 20 mins with different players..

they might as well not worry about making a sign at the rate we are going
