No, no.
I reread myself and I understand the confusion.
Unfortunately, coach, I'm in classes all the way up to X-Mas and starting right after. I don't think it will be possible.
But...
If it is?
I'm there.
Got your address.

Holy Smokes!
Coach!
Never saw THIS post of yours. Aw jeez, now I feel terrible cuz you'll think I was ignorin' ya!
Found this post looking for cooccurences of your address. It's ALL hockey, baby. You're officially an ACE in my book.
It would be an honor to visit you, coach. In fact, should I ever go down, I promise not to leave UNTIL I've paid my respects. Very kind of you; really appreciate it.
But I'm getting my degree, so I can't take off. My dad was making me feel kinda bad about maybe not making it to Edmonton this X-Mas (to visit the new edition, my niece) so if I bolt (ha!) to Florider INSTEAD...
Well, I assume you're a father? You can see how that would go down.
But yes, definitely, Florider = Coach Bill. Go see.
I promise.
About Souray: Great Presence. Great Voice. Hard worker. Accountable. Massive. Will drop'em. Supersonic neutronium slapper. Zero positioning. Zero D. WILL BE turned inside out on more than one occasion. Slow. Broken. He's broken, coach. Bob woulda signed him for 500K less while We were all screaming to dump him. He's broken. His shoulders are SHOT. From slapshotting to punching; his shoulders are FINISHED. His wrists are FINISHED. We WANTED to trade him at the deadline EVEN THOUGH We were still in the hunt (last game, mtl/tor, mtl out). Great guy, Souray. Finished.
You don't want Souray.
Trust me.

The talent is there, so no excuses for the Mullet.

Leo- I can't believe you don't live here. You spend so much time ( and really offer alot of insight)on "our " sites that I thought for sure you were a local who had another team(-nothing wrong with that).
Leo- if you ever want to come to sunny F.L.A., my wife and I have 2 beautiful townhouses on Cocoa Beach. If you come before Christmas, I'll hook you up for free. Maybe when I meet Don from St. Pete, we can all hang out and talk hockey!
This might be a good year for you to join us,Leo. We are going to kick some butt!
Hopefully, we can land a D or two. Your earlier comments about Souray surprised me. We'll take him.

Oh I get it..."Leo the Loveable Troll"
Kinda like the scruffy stray mutt nobody wanted that hangs around long enough to get itself adopted by people who take turns abusing it, but it stays because at least now someone is paying SOME attention to it
Pretty sad. And BTW folks, any year in which MTL does not win the Stanley Cup is by definition an abject failure of a season for the CH (club de hockey) and their fans. When you've won it the most times of any team, it's the Cup or nothing, which I felt to be the case here after 2004 until last season. Now merely sweeping MTL in the playoffs--again--will be considered success

Agree with everything you said, Don. 2 things: change "a little better" to "incomparably better" and understand that Our being the anointed ones go soo much deeper than that.
Bottom-line, I would've argued that TB's 2009 season looks more promising than the Preddies'. I woulda said they're at a standstill. People don't realize how excellent and reliable Kariya is until he's gone. Woulda taken out "both barrels" there.
Nothing wrong with being overly critical, edgy, or mean even towards your adversaries. Just be nice about it!
Coach,
Nope. Don't live "here". Mtl. Came here last year trying to steal your Vinny. Didn't work. Came to like y'all in the process. Enjoy this blog. Enjoy the characters. Enjoy being the Nemesis.
My blog is habsinsideout.com. There'r so many of Us, the page furls too quicky to establish logical repartee, considering hardly any of Us are at odds with each other. We all see the same thing: Imminent Victory. No one disputes; kinda monotonous.
THIS blog is ONE long, singular, page, easy to read, easy to trace, easy to respond. And NO ONE agrees with me. I love it!
So, as a HabNation representitive, I bring the Bible to the savages.

Leo- I love reading all the bloggers and stick my 2 cents in when I have time. We've all been slammed a few times( and probably deservingly so). Remember, I used to be a Habs fan. I still cherish my Jean Beliveau autographed picture. There was one of the all time classiest acts ever!
Why are you always on "our"sites? I assume you live here? Along that assumption, Don in St. Pete and I are meeting on Oct 25 ( San Jose) and I'll be trying to get all interested bloggers there that night(behind 201 in the restaurant). I'll post more about that later. If you live here are you in?
Also, does your "p" at the end of all your blogs mean "peace"? If so,"P" to you,Leo.

Leo, We can have a fun back and forth and yes, I do respect you and your team. I do enjoy the back and forth and if any of the Preds fans over there have slammed me or my post, then I will go on and give to them with both barrels. I have only suggested that your teams recent history, and reliance on a # of young players, is only a little better than hours, and henceforth shouldn't make you guys the annointed ones. I still stand by my assertion that based on what has transpired in the Eastern conference this off season, you guys should be labeled as the favorites.
Posted by: Don in St. Pete | August 04, 2008 at 12:47 PM
Aaaaww, you're no fun, Don.
You can have respect for a team and trash-talk them too. As long as it's all in good taste, what's the problem? Think they might take it seriously?
You think I do when you say my Boys will tank? Well, that's trash-talk, isn't it?
Don't you have respect for MY team?
I know you can't be serious, so volley away, I say!
P.
Posted by: léo | August 04, 2008 at 12:18 PM
Leo, I have respect for fans of every team, and unless provoked find no reason to trash them or their team. we'll see how much the preds have in the tank, just like the sHABS, Bolts and all the others.
Posted by: Don in St. Pete | August 04, 2008 at 11:51 AM
Did you talk trash on the Pred blog, Don?
That's what you gotta DO in enemy territory, mate. That's what I do!
I woulda said, "So, Preddy-girls, think you can squeeze in and get knocked out in the 1st round again?" Or, "Say, how are those country-music hockey fans? Bet it gets pretty "wholesome" in the arena."
You know? Really smarmy-like. Pile it on.
Course, it helps to have team that can back up your words a bit...
Zing! There I go again!

Yeah, I was trying to find any mention of them dealing with Tampa Bay. I could only find the obvious, that they need help at forward, which apparently EK has spun a little.
Posted by: Don in St. Pete | August 04, 2008 at 08:10 AM
Hey Don, saw you over there on the Preds blog...
Posted by: Boltflasher | August 04, 2008 at 01:39 AM
Ek seems to be floating in the clouds somewhere IMO, but some of his other bloggers have gotten a scoop of two now and then. Jon Jordan seems to have a good inside source for Bolts info, but he is on vacation. I'd be much more inclined to believe it if it cam from one of the pred's bloggers, but on the surface it makes sense as the Bolts are loaded on the front end and the Preds on the back end. Time will tell.
Posted by: Don in St. Pete | August 03, 2008 at 09:02 PM
Eklund also said Mats would come to Mtl because his DOG picked 3 out've 8 tennis-balls with the word "Hab" drawn on it.
Should do!

Posted by: léo | August 03, 2008 at 07:40 PM
If it's from Eklund, it MUST be true.
Posted by: Slapnuts | August 03, 2008 at 07:30 PM
Yo yo whud up wit dat musik? Hip Hop and Hockey? Uhhh not so much.
Posted by: Timbaland | August 03, 2008 at 07:28 PM
Flasher, Thanks for the heads up. As you know I've been saying all along the the Pred's are loaded on D with serious prospects in the pipeline as well. However they are very thin on the front line with Sullivan unable to come back from injury and Radulov signing in Russia.

This rumour today: "The Lightning have interest in a Preds D-man, and the Preds have interest in a few forwards on the Lightning as well...We have been talking about that for some time and this morning it is all over the papers in Nashville. I think this is the week when this deal will go down."
....from Eklund for what that's worth but apparently is in Nashville papers..

So typical that a Miami Hurricane would try to tell someone who graduated from Colorado College about how music is suppose to sound for hockey videos. Go figure!
Posted by: Not the Marlboro Man | August 02, 2008 at 01:44 AM
If my memory serves me correctly, Vinny was a true 6-4 out of the draft. He was however like 185 lbs or something really skinny.
Posted by: Nate Dogg | August 01, 2008 at 10:15 PM
Yeah, they generously list Marty at 5'8" of 9" inches, I think he's probably closer to 5'5".
Posted by: Don in St. Pete | August 01, 2008 at 02:44 PM
I think the Lightning actually plays good music.
Posted by: DJ | August 01, 2008 at 02:01 PM
Lets see him stand beside Marty St. Louise before we decide he is 6'2 200

No one will ever be able to adequately explain the popularity of this (c)rap/hip hop stuff. To me it all sounds the same and has for 30 years - it's basically people who are without musical talent, can't sing a note and have unintelligible diction (or who make you WISH you couldn't understand their words) who have a mike, nothing to say, and all day to say it. Bling bling! Of course the same can be said in the case of actual music - to various individuals all blues sounds the same, all classical, all country etc. I know in my case for example all Irish, Greek, and Chinese music sounds the same (but not the same as each other). If the music is pleasing, you'll be able to listen long enough and attentively enough to discern the differences and enjoy it; if instead it's noise so annoying it makes you want to ram a knitting needle through your own ears (press play above) then you won't >:^D
Let's hope the Lightning will be playing some better music at the games this season--just like the team, there's nowhere to go but up
Thanks for the videos DC

Hopefully he is growing Don. Wasn't Lecavalier 6'1" when we drafted him?
Posted by: McGz | July 31, 2008 at 10:41 PM
I've seen him listed anywhere from 5'10.8" and 174 to now 6'1" and 196. I don't believe either measurements. Probably something in the middle.
Posted by: McGz | July 31, 2008 at 10:32 PM
According to the media reports to the Prospect Camp, Stamkos is 6'1" and 196lbs, before juniors last year he was 5'11" and 174lbs. Seems like he's still growing.
Posted by: Don in St. Pete | July 31, 2008 at 10:22 PM
Should have muted the first one. The second one is fine though.

NICE MUSIC
WHATS IT CALLED?
Posted by: slapshot | July 31, 2008 at 10:10 PM
He skates a lot like Richards did in 04. Remember when he used to charge the net? Hopefully SS can add some muscle and be a dominate force in this league for a long time.

I like those 2 videos. No, I'm not offended at the language, I've heard a lot worse (been in law enforcement for 13 years). And the words of that song may be right, too:
ten percent luck
twenty percent skill
fifteen percent concentration of will
five percent pleasure
fifty perceny pain
one hundred percent reason to remember the name...
kinda catchy...and a pretty good description of the hockey season. (I hope I got those first two percentages and the wording right, I wasn't listening too close until the end of the song...lol)
So ready for the season to start and this only makes it worse. GO BOLTS!

Dude, that's Fort Minor. Thats a great song. Not sure what y'alls problem is, must be typical Florida Old People syndrom.
In any case, great to see Steven on ice!

Definitely some real bad music there!
