Seen Stamkos?

An international watch company wants you to see a lot more of him, as the NHL's No. 1 draft choice recently did a photo shoot for Tissot Swiss watches. ET Canada had the video:

Comments

Wanted: a Tissot watch with a picture of Steve (er, I mean Steven) on its face.

Can't blame him for chasing the $ but if he wasn't already a major goon magnet, he sure is now.

Grab the money while you can kid. Some day it might be out of reach.

does anyone have info on what team put in a 5 mil offer sheet for senator's d-man Andrej Meszaros? I think that it may have been the lightning. but do we have the cap room?

From what I can tell, we are lacking over 2k in capm space to make that offer. That being said we have a load of spare parts to move including 4 forwards, two of which are offensive minded scoring types. Metzaros might be a good fit on our team with the young d and accomplished front line. Time will tell.

I doubt it Mooner, the price would be some 1st round picks even if there was cap space. Dangerous with Tavares next yr.

Steve-o, your right about Stamkos...the goon magnet. But all I've heard is that this kid is capable of throwing a good left hand when push comes to shove. This is another reason why I advocate getting rid of that stoopid worthless Bettman soft instigator rule. Let the guys on the ice sort things out. It used to be if you took a cheap shot at our stars you were going to get an @$$ whipping the very next shift. That took this penlty madness out of the game and now makes the quality players vulnerable to the instigators and goons. If the instigator rule was gone, players like Sean Avery wouldn't even be playing.

Take the money Steven. Nice work, if you can get it. We would all do the same given the opportunity.
There may well be one or two mental midgets who want to "welcome" him to the NHL, but even with Andre gone, I cant help thinking someone will have his back.
Agree NTMM, lose the instigator rule. Jerks like Avery, while making good locker room motivating, seldom get what they need or deserve on the ice. The players need to police themselves.
Fans stand up in their seats for two things.....goals and fights. Its part of the game and always will be. Besides RARELY have two guys done REAL damage to each other during a scrap in a game over the years. Bertuzzi, that was just bad dumb luck on his part that the guy fell badly. Guys sitting on the bench with a shiner...its the game!

hahaha...rediculas...thanks for the laugh, DC.
