Tyrell gets training camp invite
The Lightning announced that center Dana Tyrell, the team's second-round pick (No. 47 overall) in 2007, has been invited to training camp and will join Tampa Bay Thursday for its first scrimmages at the St. Pete Times Forum. He will join defenseman Ty Wishart and center Chris Lawrence. All played for the Lightning at a prospects camp in Traverse City, Mich.
Tampa Bay lost 5-2 to the Blue Jackets on Wednesday to finish 0-3-1 and last in the eight-team tournament while going 3-for-34 on the power play.
Hockey ops chief Brian Lawton stressed that standings were secondary. "We didn't win but that's not the criteria," he said. "It's how do we perform individually and as a team."
Lawton said he watched the first two games before returning to Tampa for training camp and said his critique of the first game was "not enough urgency," but said he saw that urgency increase from period to period.

You can't be too disappointed with the losses at the prospects tournament when you consider we've had some of the worst scouting in the league for the past three seasons. Mike Lundin is the only draft pick to play quality time in the NHL for the Bolts since like 2004 or something.

It's just like the Rays, they have no offensive prospects down in the minors. Thus the 1/30 on the PP and losing 4 straight.

The former GM (Goofy Moron) Jay Feaster and his enterage of hockey scout wanabes will be haunting this team until a complete and utter turn over from the old regime gets dispelled by the new. I figure that it will take some 3-5 years to undo all the doodoo that Jay dooed.
