Ramo, Heward called up
As expected, and as coach Rick Tocchet said Saturday, goaltender Karri Ramo and defenseman Jamie Heward were called up from AHL Norfolk for Sunday's game with the Devils. Tampa Bay has been hit by a spate of injuries and needed the reinforcements after forwards Chris Gratton (knee) and Gary Roberts (upper body) were placed on injured reserve, and goalie Mike Smith (lower body) was ruled out of the game.
Ramo, 22, who will back up starter Olie Kolzig, is 4-8-3 with Norfolk with a 3.48 goals-against average and an .889 save percentage. Heward has five goals and 12 points in 12 games.

You guys can thank Halpern, Mike Liut and Lawton for signing Kolzig, Emminger & Pettinger.
What a disgrace.

So DC, any update on when Smith will be back? I hope it's sooner rather than later...ouch.

Good grief. What a pitiful game tonight. 4 goals by Zubrus? Zubrus?
I sure hope Smith is ready to go sooner rather than later.

After tonight's performance I am wondering the validity of going to the Rags game on Wed. after working a 10 hour day that won't end until 5:30 pm and then having to run home to shower. Thanks Bolts for showing me that I might have totally wasted my hard earned money on full season tickets. Vinny4 should have NEVER have been named captain.

Great game by Vinny tonight, despite the assist, he still had 1 SOG, and -4.

Agree Herb, glad I didn't make the drive tonight. Though, they are coming back...but its LONG, LONG drive back for them tonight...

I am so glad I decided to stay home and not make the 90 mile round trip to the Forum.

Kolzig, the game has passed you by and you need to move on. Can Kolzig be any slower in reaction time. The first goal was as weak as can be, and the second goal, he might as well be standing inside the net. No wonder the Craps didn't want him anymore.
