Scrimmage is a blast for almost 5,000 at St. Pete Times Forum | Main | If Alex Tanguay is asking as much as rumored, he probably won't be playing for the Lightning ยป

Young Guns Camp will end with second scrimmage (updated)

Originally, the last day of the Young Guns Camp (Wednesday at the St. Pete Times Forum) was going to be a regular practice. But camp director Wes Walz decided a scrimmage would be more productive, so the boys will be playing at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the Times Forum. It is free and open to the public.

Not the change in time from what  we had earlier. The Lightning changed the schedule. Sorry for the inconvenience.

PD,

When things are good for the Lightning, you talk about toronto. When things are not so good for the Lightning, you're all for talking about tampa. Here's a great idea for you and us - find something better to do with your time.

As for you and other leaves fans, I'm sure this is your favorite time of year because your team isn't on the ice yet. Enjoy while you can, but in the right forum.

PD, Ever the messenger of impending doom. On the other hand the source of continuing optimism that the Leafs will win the Cup again even after the previous 42 fruitless seasons. I feel sorry for you man......

Guess Friday then will bring news of the real Bolt Cap: either 42, Koules or 48, Barrie.
If Barrie shows up MT pockets Friday, then some chopping will be done.

2Way, I think that's a good take and I'm all for Barrie putting his money where his moth is or shutting his yap. As for Mike's reference to Danny Boyle, I love DFB he's one of the best if not the best PP QB out there, but we got Ohlund, Walker, Foster and half of Smaby's salary for what we would have had to pay DFB. Nuff said.

Don - Said with a smile. Keep up the good work.

As for the article about Barrie, just another detail in an old story. Seems obvious that there is a more single minded purpose behind this off-season's draft and FA. Unlike last year when it might have gone like, "you pick one and then it's my turn."

Bettman told Len keep out of the kitchen until he can come up with his stake. Seems reasonable to me and more of an explanation of the recent sanity rather than a new issue to be worked up about. IMO

Sorry Don. Your five hole was wide open. I took the shot. :)

The article about Barrie wasn't too surprising. He's the bum that wanted Boyle outta here because DFB was not very good way back in 1476 when they played together in Sunrise. Besides, his fiscal issues were reported 2 months ago. I know I know, you said it a year ago. But what are we supposed to do? Stop loving our Bolts just because some rich guy without any liquidity to his assets buys the team?

Thanks for the link, Mike13. I had already read the article. When will the soap opera ever end with the OK Group. I have been lulled with all the good news this past week and now this! It was really beginning to feel good with all the great signings and good news reported by the bloggers. Am still hoping for the best.

The canadian blogs are already having a field day with this announcement and have started the never ending trade Vinny talks.lol Hey, where is Marki Mark and Leo? Haven't heard from them in ages.

Mike, Thanks for the breakdown of the likely format. I guess I left myself wide open to the shots from the peanut gallery, but I'm tough and can take it.

What a surprise, eh Mike 13?

Did anyone else see Damian's article about Barrie's $10-million by Friday obligation?

lol, seeing Don head for the exits would be demoralizing, might ruin the whole season;)

Don, I would like to suggest 2 things:
1) It's probably going to be 2x 20 minute periods with a 15-20 minute intermission. The clock didn't stop on Saturday, so I imagine it wouldn't stop Wednesday. Which means, you're probably looking at a solid 60 minutes.
2) You should leave by 10am even if they're still playing. I'm pretty sure they won't prohibit your departure.

Damian, Any idea how long it will last? I could make it if I could leave by 10:00AM
