Worst News Blooper Ever: Candidate One

I'll be traveling today and far from a laptop. So to keep the blog hopping a little, I decided to put up my nomination for worst news blooper ever, snatched from YouTube.

What do you think? Feel free to post the worst blooper of your own, as well.

I think those old WTSP bloopers were about the best I've ever seen.

Ok, I have worked in TV news and I have seen some doozy's. But the worst one ever I don't have any video for. I was at home watching Ch. 28 in the morning several years ago when the morning anchor read this headline: "A Lakeland woman shoots and kills herself then turns the gun on her 12 year old daughter!" Honestly, that made it to air!! Wow, still can't believe it.

I hear you, Reed. i wish i could think of a good local news blooper beyond the ones i've posted to the blog, but i really can't.

One of the strangest things i saw in a local Tv report, however, was an interview Ch. 28 reporter Robin Guess did with then-Tampa mayor Dick Greco where Greco actually looked over Guess in a lascivious way right in front of the camera.

of course, she put it in ther story! Great get...
