Tampa Bay Area Residents Can Audition for Jeopardy Tuesday
Tampa Bay area residents can try out for Jeopardy when its Brain Bus comes to the Seminole Hard Rock
Hotel and Casino next Tuesday.
Here's the press release:
Media and the public are cordially invited to be a part of the Jeopardy! Brain Bus Event January 15, 2008 at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino at The Ballroom where they can “play” Jeopardy! and meet on-air talent Jon Cannon and Kelly Miyahara (left) from the Jeopardy! Clue Crew. Take a behind-the-scenes look at the coveted audition and testing process to see what it takes to appear on Jeopardy!, the world’s #1 quiz show. Our contestant search team will be “rolling” into town on the wheels of their 32-foot Winnebago - appropriately named the “Jeopardy! Brain Bus.” The Los Angeles based staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have. Media is welcome to talk with those who have taken the test as well as try your wits and take the test yourselves!
WHO:
Who are the Jeopardy! Clue Crew? Well, Jon Cannon and Kelly Miyahara are two of five of the popular Clue Crew, who are our team of on-air "roving correspondents," that travel the nation and the world with cameras in tow “bringing clues to life.” They illustrate landmarks, historical sites, special events and other fascinating locations around the world, which are then incorporated into the famous television quiz show.

TO CALL YOUR SO CALLED "AUDITION" AT TAMPA A FIASCO IS BEING KIND.I ARRIVED AT 3PM TO BE CONFRONTED WITH SEVERAL LINES OF 500-700 PEOPLE EACH.NOBODY COULD TELL ME ANYTHING.AFTER THREE HOURS IN LINE SOME CASINO PEOPLE BEGAN TO SAY WHEN ASKED"ITS ALL OVER LONG AGO.THEY ONLY TOOK 1000 PEOPLE"IT WOULD SEEM TO HAVE BEEN A COMMON COURTESY TO HAVE STATED IN ALL THE HYPE AND ADVERTISING,THAT ONLY THE FIRST THOUSAND PEOPLE WOULD BE CONSIDERED.WHEN I LEFT AT 6PM HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WERE STILL WAITING IN LINES FOR WHAT AMOUNTED TO A HOAX.VERY INCONSIDERATE OF ALL THE FOOLS,INCLUDING MYSELF THAT ATTENDED.THANKS FOR NOTHING.

i'm sorry to hear your audition experience was so bad.
But i just wanted to note, that this was not "my" audition -- I just let people know about it so they could attend if they chose to....

I agree that it was a fiasco. The 'marketing' staff and the 'security' staff gave out conflicting info. I was there well before 5pm, was told I needed to change lines at least 3 times, and was also told "the bands are all given out" and "we will give the bands out soon" alternately. It was incredibly poorly handled. If I were 'Jeopardy' I would be embarrased and find another venue for an audition next time.
