WTVT's Anne Dwyer Stars in My First Fave Local TV News Blooper of 2008
Regular blog readers know I love putting up bloopers from local TV news operations from around the country, usually involving unplanned unconsciousness or yuking. But today's Friday Blooper comes courtesy of WTVT-Ch. 13's own Anne Dwyer, who takes a cheeky comment from co-anchor Russell Rhodes about spanking to the place we were all thinking about the moment he opened his mouth.
(For some reason, it also landed on Gawker, where I first saw it)
She looks really flustered, but I hope Dwyer, who seems like a nice person, doesn't feel too bad about this funny, innocuous mistake (which is sure to land on the station's yearly blooper reel). Thank you Ann, for making your pain our pleasure -- perhaps in more ways than one....

I seen this, it was hilarious live!.... I love watching Russell and Anne every morning with their little flirtiness, and little quirky moments!!!

Brady, your web browser must not be able to display the embedded YouTube video I have included on the page. I don't describe what she said, because i want people to click on the video and see it for themselves.
you might want to try going to YouTube's site directly and searching Anne's name -- you should come up with the clip pretty soon....

This is UNINFORMITIVE! For many of us that didn't see the on-air blunder, we can only speculate as to what was said. So, WHAT was said??????????????????

NEVER compare Anne with morning tramp Gayle Guyardo. At least Anne doesn't dress like a hooker.

I think she's great - a beautiful lady who seems to be exceptionally nice and pretty innocent actually. That's a great morning show. I look forward to seeing Anne, Russell, and Tom every day.

LOL, poor Anne. She constantly does or says something to put her foot in her mouth, and you're right; she seems like a sweet person, but she just comes across a little ditsy. And you know what? That doesn't make her any less of a person; in fact, it makes her a better fit in a great morning program! It's a shame I missed that one live!
