More details emerge about next week's America's Next Top Model Auditions in Tampa

AmericaswhitneyfaceThe organizers of the Tampa auditions for America's Next Top Model in Tampa sent an email yesterday with a few more details about what's expected of those who show up for the Aug. 30 casting call.

So, if you're a female aged 18 to 27 and at least 5-foot-7-inches tall, here's what else you need: three photographs of yourself, each clearly labeled on the back with your name. One must be a close-up of your face, the second must be a full-length photograph of your entire (clothed) body, and the third must be a full-length photograph of you wearing a swimsuit. Only one of these three photographs may be in black and white. Producers are looking for a variety of models including plus size models. Polaroids are acceptable as long as they are clearly visible.

The last winner, crowned earlier this year, was 20-year-old Florida native Whitney Thompson, who was  also the show's heaviest winner at 159 pounds and a size 10 dress. As winner, Whitney will be managed by Elite Model Management. She also receives a $100,000 contract with cosmetics giant CoverGirl. Finally, Whitney will appear on the cover and six-page fashion spread in Seventeen magazine.

There's lots at stake. Whitney, it seems, was the second Florida native to win this competition, thus proving -- as I have said many times before in this space -- REALITY TV LOVES FLORIDIANS.

So go get your model on girls. And win one for the he-coon state.

SM

Eric, apparently any model whose hip bones aren't jutting out is considered full-figured!!!
