Weekend funnies: Jon Stewart exposes conservative pundits' hypocrisy on Palin

Stewartshake I wasn't initially going to link this because I'd seen it featured on so many blogs. But it's a great little send-off for the weekend: The Daily Show's Jon Stewart shows how John McCain isn't the only politician who turned 180 degrees from a previous position -- "experience counts" to "experience, exshmerience" -- to support Sarah Palin's pick as VP.

The only question left: Why we in the mainstream media don't do this more often . . .

Indeed. While I would never expect Fox or any other network to call out their own pundits for the cynical hypocrisy on display, certainly I think that campaign spokesmen and women, and the candidates, need to be called out for this. Is the media too cowed by the "liberal media" attacks to do its job? (Of course it's not just conservatives who do this, but in this instance)

Also, you're right, ever since Jon Stewart shut down Crosstalk, he's been running circles around the mainstream media.

You only say these things because you are a bias liberal you want kids to have books like harry potter in the library promoting anti-god beliefs and you have probly never gone wolf hunting in an airplane in your life and I bet you own one of those little gas-saver Japan cars not a Ford 250 4X4 like a real American Man. Sarah Palin had friends they are good Christians I saw the TV news where those friends celbrated her VP nomination in a bar in Wasilla Alaska a town that is so cosmopolitan it has an International House of Pancakes (really, look it up) and is home to champion snowmobile racer Todd Palin who is Sarah's husband (really, look it up) and I bet there is not a single champion snowmobile racer in Leningrad or St. Petersburg or whatever you call that commie Florida town these days where whining Governor Crist (a secret liberal, look it up) comes from.

If McCain chose himself a liberal librarian woman as VP I bet you would not be dumping on her along with your buddy Jon Stweart for being a redneck kind of girl and shooting mooses. If you found a liberl woman who liked making sure our Corporations get their way & who supported drilling oil on St. Pete Beach and Treasure Island and supports illegal abortions you would be happy and waving and cheering her.

Sarah Palin was a beauty queen and you are not one so you are just jealous. Same for Hillary Clinton and that Michelle Obama women with there Ivory League college degrees and who never lived in a Trailer Park in Manatee County liked I used to do. We should be glad McCain chose Sarah Palin, she is a regular American like you meet in the strip bars I hang out in like most good American men do when they can get away from there wifes.

Besides none of this makes a difference you MUST vote for John McCain because he was a POW, he is an American hero you are not one, he should be president not you or some other libreal who will just pour money into school budgets instead of building more jails to keep the uneducated from stealing our Ford F-250 4X4 pickups instead of working to buy their own honestly.

Remember: Roe vs. Wade isn't in the Bible that is why it must be overturned also the Bible has lots of Kings (look it up) and does not have a single line about Democrats, thats why we must have conservative in office or we will have a Supreme Court that before you know it will dress like blackbirds in dresses and legislate from the Bench and also from their easy chairs. You will be sorry when that happens, I promise you. McCain was a POW so he wont let that happen, this is why I support Sarah Palin and John McCain not those people with Fancy College Degrees who talk about economics and foreigner affairs and things like that all the time.
