Lou's visitors

Periodically I check with the Orange County Jail to see who's been visiting Lou Pearlman. The last three months the faithful visitors have been his girlfriend Tammie Hilton, who has made 28 visits, usually with her son, Michael, and Dave Hedrick, who has visited 10 times. Dave is the guy who bought so much of Lou's stuff at the auction and who has even expressed an interest in buying Lou's house. Lou's only other visitors: Mary Cooper and Linda Mayo, who visited him together in October.

It's starting to look like the case was a PR stunt similar to the one Lou filed against Alec but never served.

I just saw this article about Julian Benscher trying to buy Trans World Entertainment for a huge sum. Scott Bennett, Pearlman's former public relations representative, is now performing the same function for Benscher. Is Kapila looking at these guys? Benscher is the one who said he knew Pearlman was a fraud in 1998 but told nobody, after having reached a settlement agreement with LP. You'll notice in the article Benscher and Bennet's company is based in Switzerland with interests in the British Virgin Islands.

I was in LP's house and he had a picture of Tammie on his wall unit in his home office. He said that was his girlfiend. Did anyone ever see her at any party that he made? I thought his girlfriend was a women named Stacie that had a kid that looks just like him.

Florida Company Pleads Guilty To Rigging Bids On Navy Contracts

CASSELBERRY, Fla. -- A metal sling manufacturing company pleaded guilty Thursday to conspiracy to rig bids on U.S. Navy contracts, the federal officials said.
Authorities said Certified Slings Inc. rigged bids for manufacturing metal sling hoist assemblies, which are used to transport items such as bombs and other munitions.
The central Florida-based company also agreed to pay a $150,000 fine, according to a statement from the U.S. Department of Justice. The plea was made in the U.S. District Court in Islip, N.Y.

Certified Slings was part of a conspiracy to rig bids from December 2002 to October 2003, where "conspirators discussed and agreed among themselves which of them would win contracts from the U.S. Navy," the statement said.
A telephone message and e-mail left for the company by The Associated Press were not immediately returned Thursday night.
Four others have also been charged as a result of the investigation.
Pennsylvania executives Thomas Cunningham and Richard Barko pleaded guilty to rigging bids on U.S. Navy contracts in February and are currently awaiting sentencing.
In July, the former sales director of a New York-based company, "ROBERT FISCHETTI", pleaded guilty to two counts of participating in separate conspiracies to rig bids on military equipment. Roger Jacobi, the president of another New York-based company was charged with conspiring to rig bids on DOD contracts in September.
