How are Floridians doing financially?
Not so bad, according to the statistics compiled by Florida TaxWatch. They show how the state has grown and its residents have (mostly) prospered during the first decade of the new century. Take a look. Interesting statistic: Total personal income rose 46% from 2001 to 2007, while the per person number was up 25%.

St. Petersburg Times personal finance editor Helen Huntley writes about money topics and answers questions about financial planning, investments and personal income taxes.
I'm finishing up my 3rd year working as a Pinellas Co. School Bus Driver. I believe most of the financial problems faced by most Floridians are correctible pending the Presidential Elections. I am particularly interested which candidates are against the Free Trade Agreement with Brazil. Or, the agreement that caused the great sucking sensation on Florida's economy. The agreement to end Citrus as Florida's Leading Industry and which possibly resulted in a drop in tourism and many of the tax problems we face today.
