Here's where some of the money went: Lou Pearlman Livin' Large
Lou Pearlman defrauded banks of more than $100-million and investors of more than $200-million and converted some of that money to his personal use. How is it possible to spend so much money so quickly?
Lou's money supported unprofitable business ventures, went to make payments to investors, banks and unnamed co-conspirators. However, a good-sized chunk went to support his own lavish lifestyle, which is documented here in a fascinating five-minute video. The video, "Large and In Charge: Livin' Large" offers a Lou-narrated glimpse of his life, including a tour of his home. He shows off his $250,000 Rolex, his boats and jet skis, his Rolls Royce, his Escalade with the "Big Pop" license plate and his Gulfstream jet. The video was mailed to me and I don't know how it came to be made. It has a certain tongue-in-cheek quality, but I have been told that Lou showed it to some investors. What do you think? Was it made to impress people? Or was he poking fun at himself?

BREAKING NEWS
WFTV just reported Pearlman has to pass a polygraph test about where the stolen money is, otherwise all bets are off.

P.S. Who is the attorney in the video? He mentions the Cayman Islands.

Wait..this is even better -
"If, in the unlikely event, I cannot return the $200,000,000 to investors, I will give each person who does not receive full financial remuneration a copy of my book 'Bands, Brands and Billions' and a Making the Hits."

This just in:
Pearlman has agreed, as part of his plea bargain, to give everyone their money back. But there's the new disclaimer.

"If, in the unlikely event, I cannot return the $200,000,000 to investors, I will give each person who does not receive full financial remuneration a free-piggy back ride."

Does anyone know if the judge has seen this? I think the plea agreement's a bit light after seeing this. He acts like he actually owned the stuff.
As far as what the "boys" were doing at his house, well.. I'll leave that up to your imagination. If you need any more clues, the November 2007 Vanity Fair told all.

I bought the watch for $90. I wish it was the same watch. It needed a new battery.
Posted by: | March 05, 2008 at 07:01 PM
No, that's not the same watch.
Posted by: | March 05, 2008 at 05:48 PM
Was that the watch that sold for under $200 on eBay?

Pearlman needs a team of Freuds to see how he ticks. Did his mother, father, or siblings abuse him or tell him he was worthless? They could disect his brain, or at least MRI's to see if it appears normal. He's one for the books.

What a piece of work, I hope he gets his full prison time and then some.
A $250,000 watch and leaves it in a safe, what's the point of having it?
What sucks is he can't pay for a lawyer so us taxpayers have to pay for his defense

Hey 9:49, ever consider citing?

9:12- You sound like a genius! 25years of living large, now he gets 25 years with Bubba, and a lifetime of looking over his shoulder. This wouldn't be bob"sing like a fish" fishetti? Because we all know how genius runs in your family. You might want to look over your shoulder every now and then?

Really? Meanwhile, he will spend years in jail,no true friends or family. The only ones he will attract into his life in the future will be co-parasites. The victims have lost a lot, but they are free and if they are lucky enough to learn something they will cherish the rest of their lives, their friends and family.

apparently he was smarter then most. Although he got caught, he did manage to take a bunch of people and companies

Lou had close connections to a promotional/production company that leased office space in one of his buildings.
I can't recall the name right off but it has shown up in the paperwork on file. They likely did the Fashion Rock and TCT poop.
