Kudos to the fearsome foursome
While it may seem to investors that the case took forever, the investigation and prosecution of Lou Pearlman was actually a study in efficency. And while the judge was the one who handed down the 25-year prison term, it would never have happened without the work of the four people pictured here. They are, from left to right, Scott Skinner, FBI agent; Annette Waldon, IRS agent; Roger Handberg, chief assistant U.S. attorney in Orlando and Danielle Brooks, former investigator for the Florida Office of Financial Regulation. Here's more about the challenges they faced in bringing Lou to justice.
You can read more about the background of the case here.

Why don't you thank Handberg for making sure that Lou can no longer hurt others for the rest of his life. He did us a huge favor, now why don't you act like it and say Thank you. I will Thank you sir.

Handberg was involved in talent rock.

Hey 3:29 you sound like a loon.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 07:47 PM
What are you talking about, I see no threats, but what are you threatened by in the subject matter?
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 03:29 PM
I see no list
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 03:23 PM
11:50, are we using the blog for threats? No, I have no idea who or what you are.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 01:44 PM

11:50 You know exactly who I am and I know exactly who you are, so stop with the games.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:57 AM
I will tell you again I am an investor the list will be out on the 16th. I have never tried to hide anything from anyone.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:54 AM
Great Scrutinize each and every one I hope you ldo, but don't blame before you know facts.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:52 AM
11:32 am, pray tell us all.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:50 AM
They all deserve scrutiny, and will receive it in good time.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:48 AM
I can't help notice nothing said about Attorneys, CPAs, Financial Planners, Friends and Relatives? Nothing to say on that subject.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:47 AM
Don't look for blame where it actually is, we can't have that now can we?
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:41 AM
Well we are finally getting to the meat, who blew it where was the breakdown, youl tell us we would love to know. What I see is someone trying to pick on the weak ones because that makes your job easy doesn't it?
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:39 AM
You know exactly who I am
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:32 AM
I called FDIC they only insure banks, did the money not go in the bank? Did he not cash my check yes he did.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:32 AM
11:28, yeah right. Who are you?
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:31 AM
Agents guilty of not checking FDIC or REFUSING to check FDIC? Hmmm.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:31 AM
I am an investor, never sold EISA.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:28 AM
FDIC has a web site, anyone can verify all account coverage from there, both EISA victims and agents were guilty of not doing this. Victims trusted their agents to do this. No one checks banks for FDIC, it was slick to emphasize major banks were the holding entities. What is obvious to some is blissfully oblivious to another, when they know they blew it.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:27 AM
I am sure you know FDIC is overseen by a 5 member team appointed by the President of the United States of American confirmed by the Senate and audits are done on FDIC by Congress, what happened?
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:13 AM
You seem so intrested in blame instead of truth, what are you so afraid of?
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 11:03 AM
Did I mention I wrote to Charlie Crist as well publically, no response.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 10:57 AM
There is no hiding behind proof when all we have ever wanted was the truth and everyone to have their money, however I am now questioning your motives? Not your obvious one stirring things up.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 10:54 AM
If it was all so simple why didn't you look into the complaints.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 10:48 AM
FDIC only insures banks, they do not give out information about specific accounts only banks do that. If you do not own the account the bank does not give information on accounts same with Insurance Companies. I know you know this.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 10:47 AM
Very simple 9:41 am, verify verify verify. Was EISA FDIC insured? Gee I guess so if LP says so, ok I'll go sell it..why bother to contact FDIC. Gee, I wonder what percentage of EISA accounts were held by employees and for how much? Ah, who cares, I'm making money. If you want to hide behind proof 9:41 am, maybe that makes you the liar.

The ball is in your court
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 10:04 AM
I have called my Congressman Bill Young in DC, no response. I have called Homeland Security to see how this could have happened, they had no answers, so if you think we are not looking for answers you are dead wrong. I don't plan on stopping until I find the truth about all of it. If you could help that would be great if you are just going to criticise and blame we get nowhere.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 10:01 AM
In case you haven't noticed Agents blame LP, he did all this and who ever else knew about it. Which we can seem to find out nothing. Is this one of your diversions as well?
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 09:53 AM
Ok why don't tell us what more they could do than check Dun and Bradstreet, Know that when a check was placed into an account it was FDIC insured, Lloyds of London policy and AIG were proof. I want to know what more YOU could have done, maybe check out complaints, you were in a position to know not an Agent. Say what you want that does not make it true.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 09:48 AM
Prove what you just said or or we to consider you a liar also?
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 09:41 AM
Agents sold unregistered securities. Obviously did not bother to verify anything they pitched since the money was so good, or ignored those bothersome details. Now they want to blame LP for everything. Typical middlemen.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 09:14 AM
Handberg was involved in talent rock investigation..................
Posted by: I hear that.... | July 14, 2008 at 09:05 AM
I see no whole hearted cheers about anything at all, I see is travesty.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 08:26 AM
Who was at that going away party, that has to tell all?
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 08:16 AM
If an Agent stole your money somehow I hope that they are brought to justice, but don't start the blame game until you have facts.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 08:14 AM
Lou stole their money, get a clue people.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 08:12 AM
Agents knew nothing, do you think LP had a special group he did not steal from, BS. Did the agents go with him? Just Wait the truth is coming out every day and you will see for yourself each and every one of you. Truth
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 08:11 AM
Lets hold off on whole hearted cheers until they bring these agents to justice. If it dosn't happen, they will rub our noses in it as they spend our money.
Posted by: | July 13, 2008 at 08:42 PM
Who was at the going away party, and what the hell were they celebrating?
Posted by: | July 13, 2008 at 08:21 PM
Can you post the black books?
Posted by: | July 13, 2008 at 08:19 PM
So the going away party real. Johnson is someone new we have not heard about, who are all these people behind the scenes and what did they do. Did they aid in the theft? Thanks
Posted by: | July 13, 2008 at 08:15 PM
The guys who gave him the credit cards where all at the going away party. Johnson was visiting him while on the run.
Posted by: | July 13, 2008 at 06:20 PM
What about the guys who gave him charge cards to live off of? Did they know he was a criminal?
Posted by: | July 13, 2008 at 04:32 PM
Big kudo's to Helen Huntley who has gone above and beyond to get this story out and who continues to follow the case as it continues. You efforts are greatly appreciated.
