Those of you who pay attention know what my Dad and his movie theater influences mean to me. He is 87 today, and prouder of his surviving son than anyone would've guessed 50 years ago. At least that's what he says between Rachel Ray reruns.
Love you, pops (as the kids say these days). Thank you.
Happy Birthday to your dad! Rachel Ray reruns, eh? I can't blame him. Sounds like Dad still knows a pretty lady when he sees one.

Happy birthday to your father Steve. I am sure your "old man", like mine, was one of the first to instill in you some of your appreciation for film. And for that we are all grateful.

Thank you very much, Peter and Glenn. I have some current news about my Dad that I'll share after Nov. 3, for reasons that'll be clear then. Good news, any way it works out, but something as cool either way as he deserves. Check back.
