Senior Information Resources, a network of local professionals providing services to seniors and their caregivers in the Tampa Bay area, will be offering a free community seminar at 1 p.m. Feb. 24 at the New Tampa Regional Library.
The seminar will cover topics related to helping seniors age successfully in their own homes and communities, followed by a question and answer session. There is no fee to attend and no products will be offered or sold at this open-to-the-public seminar.
Presenting experts and topics will include:
* Coping emotionally with the life changes brought on by aging - Carol A.
Roth, LCSW, CSW-G and senior care manager
* Making your home safer and more accessible for changing physical demands -
Jamie Goldberg, AKBD, CAPS, certified aging in place specialist and kitchen/bath designer
* Keeping up with important changes in reverse mortgage financing - Brenda Cassato, certified senior adviser/reverse mortgage specialist and
* Information on real estate and investment strategies for seniors, and available area home care services.
