Some notable Poker TV
Hey all,
As the weekend approaches, I'd just like to remind everyone of a coupla shows that are coming up this weekend. First and foremost, tune in to MansionPoker.Net's Poker Dome Tournament on FSN at 11 p.m. Eastern on Sunday. Why you ask? One of the Ante Up! Nation will be on vying for that $25K! Brett Otte won one of six spots to play this week so please root him on! Here's hoping he'll call our toll free number after the show airs so he can give us his impressions, etc.
Also, the WPT returns with one of its specialty items on Saturday (8 p.m. ET): It's Ladies Night IV. See if Jennifer "The Unabombshell" Tilly can defend her crown. Also, remember this has the event with the woman who survived cancer and has a grandmother who died of breast cancer. Some proceeds from this tournament will go to help the fight in breast cancer. So tune in and make a difference. (Did that sound corny?)
And of course, don't forget to play in Saturday's AIPS Event #9, HORSE! See if Scott and Fasso, in truly their Swan Song and their best game, can get off the schneid and make some cash. I know I'll be rooting hard for them. Though this event won't be televised (well except on Erwin's video cam) I'm sure it will be just as entertaining. Good luck all!
-- Chris

Christopher Cosenza is co-host of the longest running poker podcast on the planet, Ante Up! He started playing poker seriously in 2003 and his favorite players are Phil Ivey and Kenna James, though he tends to act like Phil Hellmuth if you make a bad play against him.
Scott Long, Ante Up!'s other co-host, is the author of the monthly Bet on It column in tbt*. He began gambling way too young (don't tell the fuzz!) and in the seventh grade, named his state "Gambleland" for a school project (State Animal? Loan shark, of course).

Yes, yes. I'll be sure to call in or send an mp3 of my impressions. Can't tell ya anything til it airs. I will mention that LeeAnn Tweeden was lookin smokin hot during my post-interview.
All 6 of us got along great on and off the show. There's 3 americans (John - Nashville, TN, Kara, & Brett Otte - Lincoln, NE), 2 UK players (Barry Burniston & Victoria Wales), & one Canadian (Eric).
Two "firsts" occur on my show. It was one of the longest shows on record for the show as well.
The hosts are Michael Konik "the man with the $100,000 breasts" book & John Kelley a former Cornhusker football player from Lincoln, NE, so I know he was rooting me on;)
Thanks for pimping me out. I feel like I should find some money on the dresser.

Congrats to Brett for getting his money in good and only losing on a major suckout! I think he takes it down if luckbox Doug Brand doesn't suck out there! We'll talk amore about this on the show, and Brett if you are reading this, call the toll free number before Wednesday and give us your overall impressions, etc.

I'll be sure to call in. I've just been incredibly busy lately looking for a job, interviewing, waiting for background checks, 2nd interviews....& trying to finish painting the trim on my house while it's still warm.
I'm in the running now for a trip to Australia too, so that's been taking up some time. This'll be the 3rd trip in 2 years I've won on freerolls, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Brett, Good luck with the job interviews and the Australia trip.
Out of interest, what were the two "firsts" on our show?

Thanks on both counts winner of $25K. The 1sts for the pokerdome show were it was the fastest knocked out player, although when I watched it I think they said it was near the fastest knockout. Michael Konik told me it was, but I'm not so sure.
I recorded it & haven't had time to review it yet.
I was also told it was the longest taping of the show as well, but I kinda doubt that too. But hey, that's what THEY told me & as Victoria & I both know you can't really believe everything the show personnel tells ya.
(sarcastic voice time) Our limo was supposed to be there @ 1 pm, right....RIGHT? Everything went off without a hitch....um...right?;)
