AIPS TONIGHT!
Hey Ante Up! Nation!
Just a reminder that Event #5 of the second annual AnteUp! Intercontinental Poker Series is tonight at 9 Eastern on Full Tilt Poker (password is anteup). We'll be playing No Limit Texas Hold 'Em Short Handed, and watch out for willhopper because he will be a force to be reckoned with. I finished 10th in this event last year and was just shy of cashing and the final table. I plan on improving on that finish tonight so beware. Remember, it's MY ASCENSION DAY!
OK, was that a little over the top? LOL!
Seriously, everyone have fun tonight and good luck ... you're going to need it! Mwah-ha-ha-ha!!!

I hope I can return to defend the AIPS SHNLH banana!
Internet problems at the house may preclude me from entering.
Good luck all...

No, I take that back - not stupid me - it's the stupid "interweb"! It's so tricky to operate. But it's cool - if I can't log on, I'll go to a friend's house and coach him and we'll tag team the tourney and we're going to split the profits of our win. You're cool with that, right?

ok....tourney to start in 35 minutes......92 players and the pay out is 4 places???? what is up with that??? paying out only 5%....i find that to really suck....when most of the MT Tourneys always pay at least top 10%.....any ideas??

101st place? what's up with that? I hope you were trying out a new strategy and have decided NOT to use that one next month at the WSOP!
one of these days I'm actually going to get some money into FTP and play in one of these things. for now, I'll just have to live vicariously through others.

Seriously, what's up with the 4 people payout? That's why I went out in 79th place. I saw that and just said screw it... yeah that's it!

"ASCENSION DAY!"
More like detention day :lol

LOL! Yes I was trying out a new strategy, it's called donk off all of your chips because you're preoccupied with getting the payout structure fixed for your Ante Up! Nation. I just couldn't concentrate cuz I was so ticked off. By the time I realized I had a short stack it was too late. Oh well. Maybe AIPS 6?
Posted by: Chris Cosenza | May 18, 2007 at 11:05 AM
Just a sec, Chris, you´ll find that the first place in AIPS 6 is reserved for moi :D

Same deal Erwin? Anyone who knocks you out gets their buy-in back?

I don't buy this for a second!!! once the thing starts you can't change the structure so what are you worried about?

Chris, you know what, I´m up for it: knock me out for a $5.50 bounty. And I´ll make it a bit more fun: if I get into the money, I´ll add 10% of my prize to it. Of course, all that money stays in my bankroll because, technically speaking, when I win, nobody has knocked me out ;)
And I still haven´t forgotten that both you and Scott have knocked me out each....... (queue music from the Ante Up! promo video)

I admit I was not focused last night, and so I lose. The Erwin Bounty is motivation for me to focus. I accept your challenge and I state my intention now to eliminate you from competition at the final table of the next AIPS event.
Do you play on full tilt much? If so when do you play and can we connect in a few tourneys. You know you get to know me and I get to know you a little. Tell me the times that you play and your username and we can hook up.

First order of business:
- FT: eblonk
- PS: eblonk
- iPoker network (CD Poker, Nobel Poker etc): erwinblonk
- Microgaming network (Doyles Room): eblonk
- Party Poker: eblonk
most other sites: eblonk
I mainly play on FT, PS and iPoker.
Right now I play a lot on CD poker. I have a bonus and I need to play like until the second half of june to get out my complete bankroll and another month to clear the full bonus.
On PokerStars I want to get some extra player points to try to get a ticket for the PLO tourney in the upcoming WCOOP there (but that´s a few months from now).
But I definitely want to get back in the action at FT. Right now I have $25 in there and by the end of the month I´ll add another $50 because I do want to play with the Ante Upppers a bit more.
Most of the time I play late afternoon eastern (late evening European). I used to go well into the night but recently I got a metaphorical kick in the head for doing that (poker and IT are the ultimate night owl hobbies, which is fine if you don´t have a day job) for over a year (sudden sweating, headaches, dizzyness followed by two days of 15 hours of sleep a day).
Check my profile at cardclub for my MSN and Yahoo address and my e-mail and we can hook up.

blaz,
update: I decided to play PS and FT only from now on. While the iPoker net throws out one bonus after the other (I have 3 bonusses as we speak), I´ve had it with bonus chasing. So it´s eblonk on PS or FT. Simple, eh? :D
Chris,
I just re-read your May 18, 12:22 PM posting and only now realize you put me on the spot there. And I fell for it :D The offer stands, though, in it´s extended version.
