AIPS II Event #10 created
First, a reminder that AIPS II Event #9 (Limit Hold'em) is tomorrow night (Sept. 27).
Also, the 10th event of AIPS II has been created and it open for registration.
The game is Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo, and our apologies to our loyal European contingent, but either Chris or I have a conflict every Saturday in October, so we had to slate this Omaha event for a Thursday night.
The tournament is on Thursday, Oct. 25, 9 p.m. Eastern, at FullTilt. Password is "anteup." You can find the tournament under the "Private Tournaments" tab.
And remember, you can find all the information about AIPS by clicking here.
Good luck!

Christopher Cosenza is co-host of the longest running poker podcast on the planet, Ante Up! He started playing poker seriously in 2003 and his favorite players are Phil Ivey and Kenna James, though he tends to act like Phil Hellmuth if you make a bad play against him.
Scott Long, Ante Up!'s other co-host, is the author of the monthly Bet on It column in tbt*. He began gambling way too young (don't tell the fuzz!) and in the seventh grade, named his state "Gambleland" for a school project (State Animal? Loan shark, of course).

Registered. I'm good to go.
So you Yanks planned an easy victory by playing the time zone card? Hahaha, not so!
btw, in the last 2 45player PLO8 SNG's, I took 2nd place.

But you weren't playing the Ante Up! Nation.

Indeed, I was playing the Asinus Nation. Bit of an easier crowd :D
And Poker Pal won't work there :(

Could you schedule a tournament for another night besides Thursday? I bowl in a league Thursday nights so I can't make it to the start of the tournament. I'm sure Chris knows how I feel, he probably even bowled/bowls at the same place I do.

I do know how you feel, but Thursday is the only other night we hold AIPS events. Sorry man.

Do you still bowl Chris?

I gave it up because I didn't know anyone here. The last league series I bowled was 720 and I had the front 9 in my last game before a ringing 10 put an end to my perfect run. My last sanctioned game bowled was a 279. Seven years later at my nephew's Bowlday party I picked up my old Columbia, walked in, fell down on the approach the first two frames (opens) and still bowled 218. Next game rolled a 258. Haven't bowled since. Not too shabby for not picking up a ball in 7 years. If I got just two practice balls I would have shot 240 that first game too.

I bowl at Seminole Lanes here in town. I carried a 214 average last year and got my first 300 in October. You should get back into it man, so I don't feel like a huge dork when I'm the only one talking about bowling AND poker.

During the AIPS event where are people chatting? Is it on Full Tilt , here, or somewhere else? Thanks and good luck tonight!

Bryant: On the right hand side is our chat room. But you have to be a member of the forum. Click on the forum on the right side and join. Then you will use that name and password to sign into the chat room.
Erik: Seminole Lanes was where I bowled that 720. I was averaging about 219 at the time, but never practiced. I just don't have the time anymore. I used to bowl regional events in the Northeast and was a member of NEBA, but it's just not worth it to me anymore. But I did win a LOT of money, more than I do in poker, that's for sure. Luck not so important in bowling

Hahahahh.
I always feel like a dork when I talk bowling and poker. Not many women are into both.
I'll get my 300 eventually. For now I'll settle for a 299.

I have my 299 ring somewhere. Funny story: Back when I lived in CT, my house was broken into and they stole all of my bowling rings (state and county championship rings, 300s, 299s). So about a week later a friend of mine walks up to me and says "Did you recently lose something?" And he handed over my 299 ring. One of his friends found it in his yard. That's because it's worthless!!! It's made of stainless steel and the thieves heaved it out the window as they drove to a pawn shop to sell my gold rings.
Another funny story about a 299 ring. I'm in Foxwoods at a $1-2 NL table, and I have my gold 300 ring on. Guy to my right has on a 299 ring. After I outplayed him on a hand I raked in the chips and leaned over and said: Looks like bowling isn't the only sport you suck at. He later pushed on tilt with 77 when I woke up with QQ. I felted him and he left. HAHAHA!!
