Tom Schneider on Show 119
Barring any problems, World Series of Poker Player of the Year and fellow podcaster Tom Schneider will be on Friday's show. You can thank Short Stacked Shamus for this very awesome guest as he talked with Tom out in Vegas during the Series and said "Hey Tom, you need to be on Ante Up! The Nation will love you for it!" So I contacted Tom this week and it's a go. If you have any questions to ask please post them here and we'll see what we can do to get them asked.
Some of the topics we are sure to cover:
His book: Oops! I Won Too Much Money
His poker podcast: Beyond the Table
His blogging at Pokerati.com.
Keep the questions coming, and enjoy the ride!
-- Chris

Christopher Cosenza is co-host of the longest running poker podcast on the planet, Ante Up! He started playing poker seriously in 2003 and his favorite players are Phil Ivey and Kenna James, though he tends to act like Phil Hellmuth if you make a bad play against him.
Scott Long, Ante Up!'s other co-host, is the author of the monthly Bet on It column in tbt*. He began gambling way too young (don't tell the fuzz!) and in the seventh grade, named his state "Gambleland" for a school project (State Animal? Loan shark, of course).

Yeah, can you ask him if that's Karridy's real voice? ;)
But seriously, this is a good get...looking forward to it. Can you ask him about the difficulties of putting out the podcast while trying to play professionally and the hosts being in different locations. I just stumbled on to this show after the Series and enjoy it, don't get jealous Chris ;), but it is often two weeks or longer between their shows and was just wondering if thats mostly because of scheduling or production time or some other reason, and do they see that trend continuing for the foreseeable future or are there plans to increase the frequency of the shows given Tom's recent success and marketability?
Thanks I'll hang up and listen.

Just got done listening to ep 4 & 30 again since I have not played online poker for $ for years, only freerolls.
Can you do a segment about sites again, bonuses, rakeback, funding options like neteller/firepay, length of time to fund or pull out $, etc. Or is it off limits to even speak about that stuff? I'm sure you could say "hypothetically" what you heard some ppl are doing.
I'm eyeing the fulltilt bonus and if the rakerefund.com site is legit to get back 1/4 of my rake too.
Can you explain a lil about firepay vs neteller since they seem to be the most accepted and best-rated?

As a poker blogger I've got a question for Tom: Any particular reason for chosing "the hammer" (72o) for his donkey-bomber outfit (http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1422/677059819_6368a573cd.jpg)???

This guy is good in an interview and very articulate. Looking forward to this.
I would ask him about the controversy on the dealer tipping at the WSOP. His blog has a really interesting story on it.
While I am not sure if I will ever have to worry about this issue, tipping is always a very touchy issue and is hard to deal with, without knowledge/experience.
Cheers,
Chris

Who are some of the better mixed game players that he's played with in the bigger games? Are there any really good cash game players he plays with on a consistent basis that we might not ever have heard of? What's the reason he's starting to play more tournaments (I saw he recently went deep in a WPT)?

I saw this on Neteller after signing in:
US members will not be able to request funds from the NETELLER website after January 26, 2008.
I didn't see any place to link a bank acct, CC#, etc either, so I take it they're not taking deposits from Americans?
