PPSN update

The Poker Players Social Network has updated its URL. The address we gave you on the show was a beta address. The new URL is here so be sure to bookmark it. At least 40 Ante Up! Nationals already have joined, giving this site a real boost. Nice job! And a special thanks to ChicagoJason for starting an Ante Up! Nation group, which again, is at least 40 members strong.

I am in at PPSN though I am a little old to be playing this social networking thing. My daughter rolled her eyes at me when she saw me poking around on PokerMySpace. And Chris, Leesburg is no longer "no where's land" as you commented on my PPSN page. This county was the fastest growing county in the US for the last several years. Its the Hot Spot now baby!!

You better recheck those numbers. Pretty sure Vegas has you beat. Do you guys even have a Starbucks up there yet?

I signed up for the site. Do you need to do anything special to be in the Ante Up group??

JLB... no you don't. Just join the group.

First off, yes we have a Starbucks but I hate their coffee so I never partake.

Second, as a writer don't you know you are supposed to do research BEFORE you type, open your mouth, put pen to paper. Go to the US Census Bureau (http://www.census.gov/popest/counties/CO-EST2006-08.html) and you will find that YOU need to recheck.

Here are the rankings for county growth for Loudoun and Clark County for the last 6 years:

2001 LC-#2 CC-#46
2002 LC-#2 CC-#57
2003 LC-#1 CC-#53
2004 LC-#1 CC-#47
2005 LC-#2 CC-#53
2006 LC-#4 CC-#63

LOL! I was being funny and you got up all in my face defending Leesburg!!! Now THAT's funny!!! OK, OK, you win. I take it back.

Must defend the hood. Don't want you or anyone to think we are a bunch of rednecks. Oh wait..we are a bunch of rednecks just a whole bunch of us now.

Hey. I'm flying to Ft. Myers TOMORROW. Where can I catch a game? I'll drive north if I have to. C'mon. Let me know.

email me - jeff@jeffcutler.com

I'm bringing about $13 with me.

About This Blog

Christopher Cosenza is co-host of the longest running poker podcast on the planet, Ante Up! He started playing poker seriously in 2003 and his favorite players are Phil Ivey and Kenna James, though he tends to act like Phil Hellmuth if you make a bad play against him.

Scott Long, Ante Up!'s other co-host, is the author of the monthly Bet on It column in tbt*. He began gambling way too young (don't tell the fuzz!) and in the seventh grade, named his state "Gambleland" for a school project (State Animal? Loan shark, of course).
