Race for the Hundy video ... and mug winner
We missed the 11 p.m. SportsCenter, but here's Snuffy's great video from the Race for the Hundy:
And congrats to 2cunning4yew, who wins the highly sought after Bicycle-brand coffee thermos for his Nostradamus-like prediction ability. He picked all three questions right (Cosenza to win, Cosenza for fastest lap, one walker and then boldy picked 9:03 as the winning time, just a mere 6 ticks off of reality.)
2cunnning, e-mail me with your address and we'll get that prize out to you. And thanks to everyone who made a guess. I'm trying to keep the prop bet fire burning at Ante Up! HQ.
- SCOTT

Christopher Cosenza is co-host of the longest running poker podcast on the planet, Ante Up! He started playing poker seriously in 2003 and his favorite players are Phil Ivey and Kenna James, though he tends to act like Phil Hellmuth if you make a bad play against him.
Scott Long, Ante Up!'s other co-host, is the author of the monthly Bet on It column in tbt*. He began gambling way too young (don't tell the fuzz!) and in the seventh grade, named his state "Gambleland" for a school project (State Animal? Loan shark, of course).

This video is a real eye-opener. I'm fat, slow, and run funny! Chris ran a smart race, jumping out to a 1:30 split that forced me to burn my "kick" (ahem) at the beginning. If I could have done the mile 30 seconds faster, I have no doubt that Chris could have done his 45 seconds faster. Good race, and congratulations.

Great video. No wonder Cosenza won. He got a 5meter head start. Fasso, if I were you I'd demand a re-do. Being one lane to the outside you should have started at the next starting line!!!
Great video.

Man, I wish I could've been there, I'd have a shot at victory. Kind runner-runner, backdoor, one-outer on the river, but still.

Great race and video. All I kept thinking about though was the old SNL commerical with John Belushi and his donut training for the Olympics. Keep up the running guys. Hopefully, we'll have a rematch, but this time a 5k race!

Speaking of ZeeJustin and controversy, what about pokerbots?

Columbo turned me on to the show and I really, really love it.
But you've GOT to be kidding me. It's a mile! ONE mile! I'm really glad you guys podcast (verb?) better than you run.
Keep up the great work and don't ever do that again. I don't want you to die.

Anyone else worried about Mike and Chris?
There's been a little heat in this relationship and where was the pat on the back, good race, etc at the end. They just walk away from each other. Hope there wasn't any sledging (it means trash talking) going on on the back straight.
Scott, I think you should act as moderator between these guys before they prop bet themselves into doing something really silly...unless the Nation gets to decide what. Tug of War anyone?

I hope there was at least a handshake when the money transferred hands.
Running in opposite directions would have cut down Chris' edge since it looks like he is the faster sprinter. If this ever happens again I suggest Fasso consider that as part of the terms.

There was a hand shake before and after, and there definitely were no hard feelings or trash talking. I asked him how he was doing on the back stretch and when he didn't say anything I had my answer. We get along great; this was just something we had to do. But we'll never do it again. 8-)

Wow!
I think Roger Bannister's best time is pretty safe from you guys for a while.....You guys are so slow, you don't even know who he is!!
Brian
P.S. I understand that his record has been broken several times since then....

Watching that video doesn't do this race justice. Actually being there...wow what a waste of 10 minutes. Those are 10 minutes I'll never get back. The home game however was a good time as always.

Seriously, when is the race? It looked like two turtles walking around a track.

Two very large turtles.
The words, "I am way out of shape" will never again leave my lips after watching that video.
