Drop Dead Freds?
Be honest...
Who looks more like Fred Flintstone?
Me or this guy?
This is Charley Belcher, a lovable "Fox Personality" who was also on Tuesday's Your Turn show with me and fallen American Idol singer Melissa McGhee. I imagine the people who tuned in were wondering if this was in fact a Maury-esque program about husky Bedrockian twins battling over the same woman.
Come to think of it, maybe it was.

You say it's your birthday? It's my birthday, too.
Yesterday actually.
36 if you're counting.
Anyway, the Forever Fiancee and the Kid took me to Busch Gardens for the day. That night, our fave neighbors shuttled us down to St. Pete Beach for shrimp and tequila shots and related revelry.
Around 9:15, we had the bartender turn on American Idol. I gotta tell you: That show is vastly improved with the sound off. Good to see Kevin go -- although I guess I'd rather hear him sing than Bucky, who must be the least-talented Idolist to make it this far in any season. Right now, they're building a theater for him in Branson.

As we were leaving the establishment, a smoke-damaged barfly waved her Newport around and exclaimed: "I'll tell you who's next to go: Ace. He's hot, but the boy can't sing a lick."
Take it to the bank.

Sean Daly is the pop music critic for the St. Petersburg Times. His CD collection -- from Journey to Dylan, Prince to U2, Public Enemy to Stan Getz -- is much bigger and better than yours.
You are a liar Daly - you are least mid-40's. Glad to finally see Lil' Chickin' go - his 15 minutes were up 14 minutes ago. What's with Paula telling him he has a wonderful career ahead of him in the Biz - that's wack! This kid will go back to the math club at his Junior High and we'll never hear from him again, until he appears on some reality show about wahsed-up, non-talented, quasi-celebrities on VH-1 15 years from now. Clay was the greatest AI finalist so far.

Daly - first of all Happy B-day!Secondly, take this to da Bank, Lisa is the next to go. The girl had to be sweating in her capris this week. Two week's in a row the girl was in the bottom 3 and she staved off elimination twice. I think next week it's 3 strikes and your out.

Next week's Bottom 3: Lisa, Bucky and Ace. Maybe Paris swapping in for Ace if she has a lousy week.Fox is gonna do everything it can to keep Pickler in. Her loser Dad gets out of jail smack dab in the middle of May sweeps.

Even worse, Pickler is the new anointed one by "Vote for the worst" now that Kevin is gone. That should be a big help for her, though it didn't see to hekp Kevin any. I agree, I thought Kevin did much better than Bucky this week. It must be the crazed yahoo crowd keeping him and Pickler in. The very sight of Pickler is nails on the chalkboard to me. When she actually speak- it makes me nearly implode!Sherrie

Dude - that Huge Mug Shot of Charley is freakin' me out. Please remove it from this Blog. It scared my kid.

The Barfly is so wrong about Ace Young. He could have been in the top two in season one. Remember RJ, EJ and Jim Verraros? Those guys could not sing at all. Terrible. He's probably as good-bad as Justin, too. Truth is the contestants get better and better every season.Oh yeah, and Clay stinks.
